    Fcking hell.

    Fcking hell!

That's about as blatant as... well, as blatant as... as.... trying to change legislation retrospectively to get one of your own off the hook.

They are so bare-faced and have zero shame.

Nobody's saying Brexit forced them to. It allowed them to. No Brexit, no rise.
How are VISA "taking advantage", by the way? Taking advantage of what, exactly?

Their Wikipedia pages make the two of them sound lovely...
    • Tice is married and has three children. He began a relationship with the journalist Isabel Oakeshott in 2018 and separated from his wife in March 2019.
    • Oakeshott was married to Nigel Rosser. They have three children. In 2018, she separated from her husband and began a relationship with businessman and future Reform UK leader Richard Tice.

    Are you for real?
Why do you think Amazon have stopped accepting VISA credit payment?

    Because they upped their prices.
How's that taking advantage and who/what are they taking advantage of?

Taking advantage of the companies who are (or in this case were) paying their charges.

Brexit didn't force them to raise charges just as lt hasn't forced other credit card companies to do it.

But hey, the tweet you posted is probably right, all Brexits fault.

I didn't post the tweet and nobody's claiming that Brexit forced them to raise charges.

How are they taking advantage of those companies?
Don't want to pay the charges? Don't use their service.
If it's that important that this doesn't happen, then maybe we should have legislation about it....

It's not that important mate, one company has already kicked them into touch (no extra legislation required) and i would think others will follow suit.

Any chance on that "taking advantage" question? I'm going to guess no.

    I didn't think i would need to explain that <doh> T
They were presented with an opportunity to raise their charges because we are no longer required to meet EU regs, it's backfired and now they are crying that Amazon are cutting them out.

So who or what are they taking advantage of?
    You're just describing capitalism.

I've just heard Nadhim Zahavi saying on Peston that he deplored the treatment of Rafiq because when he was young and people came up to him and called him a p*** he had to "go back and politely inform them that I was a kurd from Iraq"

    I fcking love Tories <laugh> <doh>

Interesting that he withdrew the 'coward' comment in the HoC yesterday when the walking wig (**** Justin Hayward impersonator) Fabricant challenged him through the Speaker, but has rightly doubled down on the term with Raynor in media comments. Expect more of the same attack I would say....
Tories are safe for now with an 80+ majority, but I think Johnson's days as PM may be numbered.

I made a posting about him a couple of days ago. He really is a prize dick. He was also speaking out about sleaze yesterday. I don't know if this was tongue in cheek, taking the piss, or doesn't get irony, or thinks that nobody has noticed. He may even think that since he paid the salary from his second job at GKP (see my earlier posting) to his company rather than to himself directly, it doesn't count. Look out for this guy.

From the clips of the interview they showed, it looked AS tragic as Andrew's interview. Completely fake, in denial, lacking any empathy for the victims (bordering on attacking them). If she's found guilty (and who knows if she will be as she has powerful ppl in powerful places) and this interview is due out straight after, I hope he gets absolutely pilloried by the public and it completely decimates his reputation <ok>
