The more important claim is that Scots made McDonalds cave and serve it at their hellstaurants instead of Coke as they do everywhere else on Planet Big Mac

It's similar to how the Germans made FIFA cave and serve Bittburger at stadiums for the 2006 World Cup when FIFA insisted on only selling Budweiser as they were sponsoring the event, mainly by telling them that unless they wanted several hundred of unopened barrels of Budweiser dumped on their doorstep the morning after the final, they'd back off (I may have embellished that last part)

Compare that to London for the 2012 Olympics, where people were having cans of Pepsi snatched from their hands at the gate or told to remove clothing with the logos of non-sponsors, which the organising committee were happy to allow happen because they'd got a free stadium and all they had to do was fraudulently claim how much it would cost to stage the event

ii.) The fact that three separate Tory MPs (plus a Tory peer) are citing Guido Blog as a source for anything other than a word than ends in "...phobia"
iii.) The fact that none of them (nor the Tory peer) bothered fact-checking the story before blurting it all over their Twitter
iv.) The fact that their "Gotcha!" moment mainly serves to draw attention to their being shortages on British shelves
