I'm not so sure the majority does think this way anymore. I used to think that way, but so much of what we do now is morally repugnant to me. I think this sketch comes more and more to mind
Living in London may skew my perception, as Londoners are sooo much more tolerant of everything but I still believe that this country will reject extremist politics of any nature. If we don't....we're ****ed.
The fact there's people who think criticising the government means you should be dropped indefinitely highlights at least seven things which are seriously wrong with this country Would now be a bad time for somebody from Croydon to chip in with their daily experiences? The fact that I had to suggest my other half shouldn't wear blue yesterday due to her Mediterranean appearance says a lot...
She really is just thick and spiteful. Capital punishment isn't a deterrent, even when the right people are on the end of it. America has it. It doesn't ****ing work.
I have to say that I'm liking the look of the new cabinet Prime Minister: Marcus Rashford Home Secretary: Tyrone Mings Foreign Secretary: Kieran Trippier Health Minister: Theo Walcott, due to his wealth of experience
Sorry, Bri - I have to disagree. I always thought and hoped that was the case, but no longer believe it. The majority of the population of England are either just apathetic, with the attention span of a goldfish and/or too thick to know they are being manipulated. We also have significant communities who aspire to or actually believe that they belong to the Tory ' class'. They don't. And any number of social media messages of support for the England team is not going to alter that balance as ultimately the Government continues to own the primary news media. Very, very sad!
Rashford, Sancho and Saka are guilty of nothing more than trying their best for the country the racists and xenophobes claim to hold so dear. I’d like to think that one day even they might recognise that.
She is a vile woman. She has been promoted far beyond her ability. It smacks of tokenism so that the Tories can claim to be diverse and repel any accusations of racism. She is a social climber who wants to be seen as part of the elite - and to realise her ambition she has been prepared to throw the people she should feel empathy towards and identify with under the bus.
A former side of Thatcher... Not sure what's worse, the undemocratic view that a footballer shouldn't voice an honest (and accurate) opinion or having the belief that Patel had 'worked all her life in. Public service'. A ****ing prick either way!
I never thought that I'd see the day when #CraftyWank was topping the Trends. Well done to Darren Grimes. He's discovered true Populism and brought the UK together. Certainly made my week! And how apposite it was that so many were telling him to 'put a sock in it' for the last few years. Although I suppose 'put it in a sock' would have technically been more accurate.
