Let's be honest, Julia Halfwit-Brewer would find some form of ammunition even if it was completely unedited

The coverage of the asylum seekers on the channel is getting more ridiculous by the minute. All the news channels chasing boats with commentary that is the opposite of the truth.

Just for the record:
Being in the channel in a dinghy is not illegal.
Landing on the UK shore is not illegal.
You are not required to seek asylum in the first safe country (although the Dublin Agreement allows us to return asylum seekers to the first EU country they arrived in....of course this will no longer apply post 31st Dec when we will have "taken back control").
International law requires you to give assistance to a vessel in distress....it doesn’t say anything about filming or trying to interview occupants of said vessel.

So have the 5000 people the Tories claim didn't actually die of Covid really miraculously come back to life? Or should we not ask difficult questions and instead focus all of our anger on a brand of ice cream?

In other news, as the bastards have been on fine form this morning, how convenient that the Scottish exams SNAFU got splashed all over the front pages a few days ago - and then English exams are a similar disaster on a much bigger scale, but the SNP got made to look bad and that's all that matters
