Who knew that people who stand on a platform of "owning the libs" are not very good when tasked with "running a country properly"?

It's a Lego reference - easily dismantled. Starmer is doing this every week, he has a skillset that is good for this task. Personally I prefer Corbyn's principles, but he could make me cringe during PMQs.

<laugh> I know what it is!
That's a Telegraph headline. About a Tory PM and a Labour leader. Erm...
Boris has upset somebody, as the usual sycophants have turned and it's quite noticeable.

I thought you might, but the confused icon confused me. Don't worry they'll all file in behind them once an election is on the horizon. But even they can see what a gibbering wreck Johnson is - probably think he is a bit of a pinko with all this state intervention.

The obvious issue is that, when there's about a dozen MPs in the chamber in total, Starmer is able to do his barrister thing and dismantle whoever is in front of him - but he won't be able to do it when the wall of mooing is back there as he'd be drowned out, and I'm sure that has nothing to do with Rees-Mogg demanding MPs return to Commons PDQ

What really stands out is that, even though Starmer's dismantled arguments, he hasn't landed a knockout punch at the dispatch box, something which Corbyn was able to do when facing the wall of mooing on a pretty regular basis - it's just nobody wanted to say it as doing so would shatter the Narrative of him not offering effective opposition, so we had to pretend that he didn't have de Pfeffel squirming in his seat throughout September-October last year, or the time he made Michael Gove look like he was going to cry, or the time he owned Theresa May so hard that she couldn't even respond because she was drowned out by laughter from both sides of the aisle

And I get it, politics shouldn't be about point-scoring...but the last 25+ years have made it abundantly clear that it is, which is why you see people scurry in and out of the chamber to hand pre-prepared responses (because calling them "answers" is being far too generous) so you get the five second clip of what looks like a witty, off-the-cuff put down but if you watch it live it looks like what it is: an attempt to dodge the question that they needed somebody else to write for them

Long story short, in the event of Starmer facing Hancock at PMQs, he needs to make sure that every question he posted makes sure that at some point he asks Hancock to be mindful of his tone, as frankly the little creep deserves it after last week

Tories get that politics is about winning elections and being in power. **** principles...just win. Most governments fail to implement most of their manifesto anyway.

The Labour party is on the edge of obsolescence, so a large dash of pragmatism and capable management wouldn't go amiss right about now.

Meanwhile, the Lib Dems still haven't got around to bothering to elect a new leader

Somebody might want to mention this to "centrist" Twitter...

Trump having another go at immigrants. How come someone who's family immigrated from Bavaria hates immigrants?

It really does say a lot that the US and Australia are spectacularly anti-migrant...yet the vast majority of their population are descended from migrants

I remember reading about Australians and immigrants many years ago.I thought that seemed funny as so many Brits were taking that 10 quid (?) trip there to settle.
My cousin Caroline has been there for donkey's years with her Aussie beau and is happily working for the government.

Why are they standing? Not enough seats to go around?

So in today's most pathetic meltdown, Owen Jones made posted this tweet

So nothing untoward about that, after all countless people have also commented about the ludicrous situation where you can invite cleaners into your house but not members of your family, or how nothing sums up Tory thinking quite like making it so your servants can attend to your needs while everyone else can bugger off

So let's see some of the responses to his tweet...

    How politics has changed.
Two months ago, we had a far right PM.
He has been forced to become a socialist.
We had a leftie Labour leader who has been replaced a moderate.
    Strange times.
Whatever the outcome of this calamity, it will be a long, long time before Boris can implement his agenda - if he's still around by then

That's actually correct! There are only enough seats for two thirds of the members.

Really doubt if Owen Jones has been spending much time consuming porn with women in it, pet, exploited or not.
