These things are cyclical. Every so often there is a lurch to the right in mainstream politics, which is usually represented by an upsurge in nationalism, illiberalism and authoritarianism. We have all that in our society now - despite our claims of inclusivity and tolerance. It usually ends with a war.

Moscow Mitch McConnell is trying to get involved in the health care..."for the good of the people". This after receiving Lord knows how much from mine owners with the result that Kentucky mines are pretty much closed and miners out of work.In some cases these miners are owed pay which they don't seem as though they are going to get.
