French policing is weird in of itself, given it's essentially split into three due to the French love of all things bureaucratic
    * the Police Nationale having jurisdiction in cities and the large towns, which comes under the Ministry of the Interior's remit
    * the Gendarmerie have jurisdiction in small towns as well as rural and border areas, which are part of the armed forces
    * the Police Municipale for every town and city, which report to the local Mayor

This means that it's highly probable that a case gets hopelessly bungled due to two or potentially three forces getting in one another's way during the investigation or even withholding information for the sole purpose of being the ones to get the credit for the collar

It's not the only country with this issue, either, as Italy has managed to get four agencies tripping over one another, with the Polizia di Stato, the Carabinieri and Polizia Municipale in the same roles as their French counterparts, plus the Polizia Provinciale because it's obviously not difficult enough for Montalbano to secure a conviction...

Well they couldn't use a water cannon, as they would have been accused of wasting valuable water during a drought, fair play to them, I hate cnuts who think that they are entitled to block roads an inconvenience 1000's of people in order to get their own way.

Much akin to the black/brown shirt thugs of the 1930s (the "useful idiots" of their time) ,
but not the creators of the "ism" that they moronically follow (an "ism" that ironically
is demonstrating traits of actual past fascist regimes) .

Went to church today.I asked two ladies sitting behind me (and I've known them some years now) "can I ask you both a question.Do you think Trump wants to be the first dictator of the USA?" They never answered that but both told me they were Trumpites and he is greatly liked! I told them I think he is a dangerous idiot.Didn't go down well. One ladie thought they needed a business man as President.Business man? His dad gave him $400 million and he blew it. He lives on borrowed money from banks etcetra and doesn't pay it back. If that's a business man.....good luck if you can get away with it!

The Dems are doing something alright, namely making the same mistakes the Republicans did three years ago and flood the field with approximately 43 candidates and making the campaign completely unfocused that only serves to keep the Orange Overlord at the heart of the conversation

Meanwhile, the Chinese, the Russians and N.Koreans now know they can play games with this idiot!

Here's basically how the ****show became so ****showy: the Republicans were **** scared of the possibility of Hillary being POTUS, hence so many were throwing their hats into the ring - yet Trump was saying that, if the Republicans didn't endorse him he'd run as an independent, which played into their worst nightmares as they were scared he'd split the vote in the three or four states that actually decide an election and hand Hillary the keys to the Die Weissen Haus

That's the mistake the Democrats are making this time around: so many of them want to make Trump a one-termer that they're flooding the field to the point they can't fit all the candidates into one debate, with Tulsi Gabbard in particular fading into the background due to having four heavyweights in Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris, while Beto O'Rourke and Pete Buttigieg have grabbed the dark horse roles that's left Gabbard in limbo as she's fallen between the two, while the rest of the field are effectively nicking votes off the front runners and chasing pack while lagging way behind the rest of the field

Gabbard's a trojan horse, anyway. She's being promoted by some very dubious sources and has virtually no left-wing support.

You'd have thought that one of the mediums from Most Haunted could've divined that for him, if they weren't as transparently fake as he is.
