Can they change the vote ids to letters (MVA, MVB etc) ?? And then wake me up when they get to MVP (whoever that is) .
He also said it would be a disaster to leave the country 'rudderless' Not the best metaphor from that twat
Will we have to wait several decades for the past 2 years of waste to be released into the public domain ?? I for one would like to see ALL decisions made by both sides in the formulation of the May "deal" (specifically what proposals were made by each side, rejected by the other etc) . Other than that, trying to get the numbers on whether the 39bn "divorce settlement" can be paid from the WTO trade tariff surplus with the EU, and at the payment rate we were already committed to as an EU member ...
Pretty ominous that the EU have called for an emergency summit on 10th April, two days before exit date. Any one else think that they will refuse an extension? It would bring things to a close, and limit the UK to a choice of two things, Revoke A50 or No Deal. No time for anything else. As parliament have said that the will not accept a no deal, Brexit would be finished. In the unlikely event of a No Deal, for the UK to get a trade deal, the EU could insist in getting their £39B first. They have us by the balls, they just need to squeeze. They are ready for a no deal.
Boris v Rees-Mogg in a leadership contest? Monty Python's Upper Class Twit of the Year sketch seems almost prophetic. Life imitates art.
Monday will be important. If ( yes, I know) parliament can finally find a consensus as to what could gain a majority in the house, then we have something to go back to the EU with and ask for more time to deliver it. If they continue to simply vote for their own personal choice and against or abstain on everything else, we’re probably going nowhere.
I refer you to my comment above (on a bipartite WTO arrangement they are allegedly looking at a 6bn pa deficit in their budget to add to the definite 7bn deficit) .
Mervyn King, ex governor on the BoE said today that the best solution would be an extension to prepare for a No Deal. Mark Carney has recently said that a No Deal would not be the disaster that many are predicting. Surely these are two highly respected individuals an must carry some weight.
Isn't it about time somebody considered a Hard Remain? Perhaps declare ourselves a new province of the Netherlands. Now there's obviously some problems with this, namely having to hand over the 1966 World Cup, but on the other hand we'd gain Euro '88 and also be able to proclaim Johann Cruyff one of ours...
I genuinely think a GE will solve nothing but, a part of me really wants one just to see “Change FA” MPs Anna Soubry and Chukka Umunna get their butts kicked out of Parliament.
Nah, the Nexeteers have just taken control of the Dutch Parliament in the recent election, Don't need to go through all that sh!te again. . Now if we declared ourselves a province of Bavaria, that might work. They have a spare leader in Germany just about to become available, and you might actually be able to garner support from both the far right and the far left. That would be a hard Brexit. Loads of World cups to boot, and never lose another penalty shoot out.
