I am wholly convinced that one of the following applies to citizen May : 1. She is attempting to get a leave outcome but where history records it WAS NOT HER who cut the final thread. 2. She has some combination of hubris and perceived intellectual superiority that deludes her into thinking her "deal" was the best that ANYONE in the UK could have devised and got accepted by the EU for the time frame she had. On #1, as some commentators are saying, history will note that ALL of the current parliament, whatever the party colours and side of the EU debate they are on, were morons and spineless. You are all going down as gormless gobsh*tes. On #2, I note the "Christian" aspect of citizen May. Notable that #2 was a defining trait too of citizen Blair (well when he was using his "Catholicism" other than to claim he was not sending his kids to a pure christian version of Eton/Harrow) .
You have to worry about Tony Blair. He said that not joining the Euro would be a disaster for the UK economy, it wasn't. Best thing we ever didn't do. He said Saddam had WMD, way off the mark. Now he is saying the UK cannot survive without the EU. Anyone's guess, but solely based on Blair's advice I think we would stand a pretty good chance.
You have to worry about the #2 mindset, whoever has it. On #1, with Easter weekend imminent, citizen May is welcome to leave the EU under a WTO regime and then call to the public to crucify me for it (no doubt 3 days after the event I will be feeling even greater) .
I think that the Kurds might disagree with you about the WMD as thousands of them were killed by his chemical weapons
My daughter's Primary school in Ashford in Kent have put wonderful No deal Brexit Plans in place. When the M20 is used for a car-park, traffic in Kent comes to a stop. They have arranged for extra staff in case parents are held up in traffic to pick up the kids, emergency rules so that if parents can't get the kids to school, it will be logged under a code which will not get parents in trouble for not ensuring that their kids attend school. Extra food supplies available. They appear to be far more organised than our government, so it can be done.
That was historic surely, Blair was talking about current. No stockpiles were actually found as far as I can remember.
Saddam had and used them in the 1980s, definitely. But in the days of the "dodgy" dossier (2003) , it appears that he had very little "WMD" capability of any kind (certainly nowhere near the scale falsely claimed) .
At one point this morning the site actually crashed due to the high volume of traffic At least we hope that's what happened, and it wasn't the Tories trying to remove it...
