    The Foreign Office has confirmed that they funded the Institute for Statecraft - although they're attempting to sidestep not only the part about how an initiative supposedly set up to combat Putin's propaganda war has been used to start a Putinesque propaganda war of their own or why it is registered as a charity

    It hasn't been helped that the official Twitter of the Institute of Statecraft, which operates under a different name (because that always makes things look above board, doesn't it?) namely the Integrity Initiative - and that's also drawing comment considering who is linked to them


    Add to that how the Institute for Statecraft has more than one registered address, with one in London on the EU transparency register and one in Edinburgh on their Linkedin account

    And that's before pointing out how the Integrity Initiative's Twitter is currently liking any tweet it can find criticising the story, because when a story breaks of a publicly-funded bot farm spreading stories to attack the non-Tories, what better way to make use of £2m of taxpayer's money than liking tweets that criticise anyone bringing up the subject of a publicly-funded bot farm? For example if you click on this tweet you'll see their like prominently featured...

    Meanwhile, claims that they;re not interfering in the political process are ever so slightly let down by headlines such as...
