I swear Russian spies work in the Croydon branch of Wagamama. Or lazy/incompetent staff, one or the other...

  3. Much being made by the UK government of ‘President Trumps’ wholehearted support for the UK in the Russia conflict, endorsed without reservation by the BBC. However, no mention has been made that all pronouncements from the US administration have been from a White House ‘spokesperson’, rather than Dumpf himself........ (as opposed to virtually every other nation, where the statements of support have come from Heads of State or their representatives in the UN etc https://news.sky.com/story/whos-sta...-russia-over-salisbury-spy-poisoning-11290160 )

Is that the political equivalent of crossing your fingers when saying something, so Trump won’t be directly criticising Putin........ <laugh>

And yet Ofcom are investigating whether RT are "fit and proper" to broadcast in this country...

    Dear BBC,

A White House spokesperson reading a statement it cannot be confirmed or denied even reached the Oval Office and/or Mar A Lago is not basis for a "Trump condemns Russia" headline, nor is the Orange Overlord's statement that was him essentially saying there was a chemical attack in England and that's not okay - which neglected to use the words "Putin", "Kremlin" or anything that actually sounds like words of support for the UK.

No wonder they're having to try and brainwash young people into trusting them as a source of news...

So as the Republican Party recently said there was no Russian funny business going on and closed their books on it......have they got to apoligise to the people and say "we did it for Trump?" and reopen their books?.........you can only keep lying for a time......I suppose!

May might be want to appear Churchillian and statesmanlike in her stance on Russia, but until she does something about the UK acting as Russia's bankers it's all meaningless hot air.

And then we get Gavin Williamson's playground posturing that only just stopped short of "My dad's bigger than your dad"

  12. That was one of the most pathetic official statements I've ever heard from a senior minister - and there's a lot of competition!

It has to be said that numerous countries are supporting the decision to not send dignitaries to this summer's World Cup, as none of the following countries will be doing so either...

    Trumpistan
    Italy
    Holland
    Chile
    Republic of Ireland
    Turkey
    South Africa
    Norway
    Greece
    China
    UAE

...what do you mean that's not the reason none of them are sending dignitaries?

Somebody did tell them that The Day Today was satire, not an instruction manual?

It's a testament to the quality of that programme that it's got more relevant over time. The same applies to Brass Eye.
