I don't really have an issue with Trump thinking that some places are ****holes, as they comparatively are.
The problem is with his ignorance and the people from those countries somehow being inherently worse than those from other ones.
He doesn't seem to understand why less Norwegians move to America than the other way around.

People want to live somewhere nice, stable and with as many opportunities as possible.
For the Congolese, that's America. For Americans, that's Norway. Sorry, Normay:


It's also extremely bad optics.
A lot of people already think that he's a racist and he's referring to African countries in a very unpresidential manner.
It's ok for Congolese people to call Congo a ****hole. It's not ok for the President of the USA to do so.

On the devil's advocate theme, I have to admit Trump illustrates his argument powerfully. Let in people from the most historically despicable country and don't be surprised if you wind up with an ignorant, fraudelent, flimflamming, treasonous rapist.

A friend of mine married an American friend of my wife. She is diabetic and they both live in Hertfordshire.She can't go home because she wouldn't be able to get insurance for herself.It seems her medicine is practically free compared with the USA where you have to pay through the nose for your medicine...or die!
She also has been in hospitals in and around London for an ankle break which the first hospital in London screwed.They've finally repaired it and she is learning to walk again....at no cost.
It may be run down but some people need the NHS.

This is the group that want to legislate morality to the American people.
They won't blink an eyelid at Trump paying porn stars hush money to cover up extra-marital affairs.

The obvious issue that somehow eluded Trump & Friends is that, if the medical revealed he was three stone overweight, had the cognitive facilities of a toddler and was riddled with herpes, the odds of that information being revealed to the public while Trump's in the White House are practically nil - for the simple reason that, if a medical announced the President found Sesame Street to be too challenging for him, just think of the knock-on effect to the US economy as a result.

It's hardly unique, either: it's not like JFK's White House medical ever revealed he was on a cocktail of painkillers, anti-anxiety medication, sleeping pills and hormones as those medical records were buried until 2002.
