So I'm curious. Why the hell is it a story that Trump retains the support of his base? What the hell does that mean? No president has lost most of their supporters in the course of their time in office, not even W. or NIxon. Nobody dreamed of saying that they therefore retained the support of their base--because it's not a story. The base in this case is those people who continue to support someone. Saying that Trump continues to retain the support of those who continue to support him is not a news story, it's a tautology. There is exactly one story regarding Trump's popularity: he's the least popular President in history.

So what the hell are those supposedly reputable media organizations doing continuing to repeat this complete bullshit?

Funnily enough the previous President similar to Trump was from Africa the one and only Idi Amin. Amongst other nonsense he claimed to be the Last King of Scotland, Trump on the other hand is just trying to buy Scotland one golf club at a time.

It would be funny if it wasn't real.

It's Trevor Noah on Comedy Central. Took over The Daily Show after Jon Stewart left a couple of years ago.

A fine example of how Trump's retaining a certain support base

Turns out that blockheaded racists who can't think for themselves are a sizable demographic

Here's another example of their "wisdom"

There's several different drinking games involving trying to have a conversation with Trump acolytes.

The fact there's more than one indicates the issue.

    Well that is no surprise.
NY is a sh*thole, because they allow Trump to live there.
So I have to infer that their "bar" exams are similarly sh*t.

It can't be that hard to pass a NY bar as there is always another one coming up.

Do you mind not insulting the Ford Anglia. It was a very fine car in its day, and unique rear window.

The Dire Leader is proudly claiming that hidden payments on credit card purchases is a genius move by the Tories on behalf of the British people.

Back to Trumpland, and you're going to want to be sitting down for this one...

In the past hour or so, people in Hawaii received a text message warning them to get to shelter immediately as a ballistic missile strike was imminent. The official line from Hawaiian officials is that the message was sent out in error (which begs the obvious question "What ****ing error???"), although they didn't help matters by sending out a correction e-mail within fifteen minutes - but it took the best part of forty minutes to send out a second text to inform panicked citizens that armageddon was not headed their way.

Meanwhile, throughout the entire situation, there was not a word from the Orange Overlord. Why? Well, here's a photo of what he was doing at the time...

A number of Congolese colleagues surprised me when they agreed with Trump re: sh!tholegate. One said 'our President needs to take note and stop destroying our country. He needs to provide clean water, electricity, stop shooting protesters build infrastructure. He needs to get our country to the level where Trump cannot call it a sh!thole. The reason we all want to go to America is because our country is a sh!thole. '

You have to feel for these people.
