Ah, the good old "net neutrality" stuff. If the CSPs had not made a "race to the bottom" on service charges (especially for mobile comms) , they would not be in such a position.
Jeremy ...Hunt decided to appear on Facebook Live on Friday. How do you think it went? please log in to view this image Meanwhile, looks like Nick Robinson is doing his bit for journalistic integrity once again... Of course, this is the same Nick Robinson who claims he didn't know who he was posing for in this photograph taken at the vote count for the Rochester by-election in 2014 please log in to view this image He claims he was unaware it was Jayda Fransen in spite of... a.) As a journalist, it is his job to be able to identify who the candidates in the by-election are b.) Fransen is wearing a badge that clearly reads "CANDIDATE" c.) While slightly obscured in the photo, her fleece clearly has the Britain First logo on it And, yes, the photo is genuine.
He's attempted to defend himself: "He was a loner", seems rather like a rather disingenuous response to a photo of the guy with the group that he's supposedly not associated with.
So after spending an entire campaign banging on and on and on and on about Hillary Clinton's e-mails, guess what? Several thousand e-mails from the Trump campaign have been handed over to the FBI. Of course, this being Trump, this can't go by without some farcical tubthumping, in this case Trump asking for the FBI hand the e-mails back so Trump can vet the content of them before he gives them back...while banging on about Hillary deleting e-mails again. On top of that, last week it emerged that WWE are looking to resurrect the catastrophic failure that was the XFL and have trademarked the term United Football League, somehow unaware that if you say "UFL" fast enough it sounds like you're saying "awful", and Trump has given this venture his full support - which has led to a lot of speculation that every contract will contain a clause stating that players MUST stand for the national anthem or be fired.
Nigel Farage has been pushing a "poor me" narrative over the last couple of days, bemoaning his lack of cash. He's also whined about his marriage breaking down and his inability to walk the streets of the UK without people abusing him. This has nothing to do with the fact that he wants to do a runner. Nope. Definitely not. Not that, at all. He's also been going through his Twitter account and removing retweets for pro-Roy Moore stories. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it's because the disgraced former judge lost his Senatorial election and not because he's been accused of being a nonce. And finally he's managed to stir up another connection with Russia, because that's about all he's good for now, apparently: https://www.theguardian.com/politic...russian-embassy-smear-campaign-kremlin-critic No comment? Funny, that seems rather out of character, doesn't it?
I'm guessing there's something at the heart of the Paradise Papers people really don't want getting out - which is why Appleby, the offshore fund at the heart of it, has started issuing legal action and demanding the documents be returned under the most spurious of reasons https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/dec/18/guardian-bbc-legal-action-paradise-papers
Trump must be running to the lav everytime he hears the name Mueller. He's reaching out for you Donald! COME IN PRESIDENT NUMBER (whatever Trump's number is) YOUR TIME IS UP!
45, which just so happens to make a pretty decent swastika facsimile please log in to view this image
In doing so : 1. They are correct in the letter of the law 2. I am surprised they have waited so long More so by #2, as nobody who from the outset wants opaque corporate/tax structures is going to give Appleby new business when their document security infrastructure is like a torpedoed sieve.
Surprise, surprise! May comes out with generic platitudes about threats to kill, rape and harm having no place in political debate, but falls short of calling out the principal offender for inciting that violence - The Daily Fail........ Never gonna happen, was it? Theresa May condemns abuse of MPs over Brexit http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-42385002
It's always worth remembering that, according to the letter of the law, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre did nothing wrong. It's surprising how often this analogy is worth bringing up. Meanwhile, closer to home...
The replies to Burley are hilarious. Various shades of lunatic from right across the political spectrum. Apparently London's a desolate caliphate and social media sites banning people is the equivalent of book burning.
Is hanging someone from a meat-hook and slicing up using a chainsaw a wheelchair bound live man ok in the "letter" of the (USA) law ??
Texas laws at the time stated that if anyone trespassed on your property, as every single one of the victims in the film did, use of lethal force was protected under the law.
Just to show that even Texas Chainsaw Massacre might not be that far fetched as a self-defence claim, I offer up Robert Durst. The "eccentric millionaire" has been implicated in the deaths of three different people, but his first trial was a real classic. He claimed that his elderly neighbour attacked him with his own gun, but he fought back and killed him. He then dismembered and dumped the body. He was acquitted of murder, but found guilty of evidence tampering. Leatherface just needed a good lawyer and he'd probably get off with community service.
I am now interested in which of the acts inflicted by clan Leatherface on the occupants of that van, were (not) legal in the letter of 1974 Texas law.
