The Fail have outdone even themselves for dishonesty reporting Schwarzenegger's story.
The headline is that he's made a rare endorsement and this is the imagery that they've attached to it:

You know, I'm starting to get the feeling that Starmer's Inner Circle are a bunch of lying charlatans...

It seems the Treasury calculates that the 24p rate for CGT maximises the tax take and thus the amount raised from the rich. Do you think less than the maximum amount should be raised?

Assuming you believe treasury figures. I don't because they are political figures not numerical ones.

A lack of funding to public schooling, the enormous cost of further education, the celebration of wealth and celebrity over achievement and hard work, the increasing perception that all views are equal, even if they're completely insane...

...I'd say that they're some of the main drivers.

The Treasury model for tax yields has no reason to be biased. As CGT is charged on realised gains then rich people, who have little need for cash assets and many ways of raising cash, are bound to defer realising gains the higher the rate goes so there is inevitably going to be a rate that maximises the CGT take and it would be remarkable if that coincided with the arbitrary 40% rate on taxed income.

The solution is a Wealth Tax of course.

I think it would be nice if once, just once, something pledged by either Starmer or a member of his inner circle was ever followed up on instead of dumped at (or in) the earliest convenience so they could bulldoze through what they planned to do all along without ever being called on it by the stenographers calling themselves journalists

I also think it would be nice if more focus was given to Rachel Thieves brining in proposals to have the government snoop on benefit claimant's bank accounts, because that didn't seem to get mentioned in yesterday's coverage...

There wasn't a pledge though was there? She has increased the rate to tax the rich as much as possible. Why would she do something different?

The average house price in Colchester is around £300k, so that's around £18m in assets.
They "have to work" because they claim they're breaking even and now manage their own properties, which they claim takes 30 to 40 hours.
This is because they lost £300 worth of winter fuel allowance, apparently! <laugh>

This is from the Boris Johnson school of altering search results.
That twat at his rally called Puerto Rico an island of floating garbage, so now Trump does this.
"Trump garbage" now brings this up, instead. He looks like a really **** sex doll and a dementia patient though, so it's backfired.

Although the fact it brings up what appears to be an Oompa Loompa wearing blackface showing telltale signs of experiencing a stroke recently, it might not be the best way to game Google search results

Also worth mentioning that WWE have routinely been doing something similar every time another round of allegations about Vince McMahon come to light. Why do I mention that? Well...
