If Italy was behaving like this, comment wouldn’t be viewed as anti-Catholic.
Israel’s retaliation against Hamas has been totally disproportionate and unreasonable. Killing so many innocent civilians in such an indiscriminate way makes them guilty of war crimes. The history of Jewish oppression isn’t an excuse. Being abused doesn’t justify being the abuser.
Why is our government still supplying weapons to enable this to happen? We may be tiddlers these days in the fish pond of international politics (which may come as a shock to many), but we can still make a difference by doing the right thing. But when had Britain ever done the right thing?
