I doubt the civil cases will derail his election. The federal cases will though. Will they be completed in time though?!
His lawyer is a deluded loon too btw. "Everyone has a right to defend themselves when they've been wrongfully accused" Errrrrrrrrrr.... he had that right, and he's been found guilty in a court of law so he's no longer an "accused"
And this 'lawyer' and her incompetence apparently has removed most, if not all of Trump's opportunities to appeal. I somewhat disagree with you re: derailed campaign though. This verdict will be far more difficult for him to dismiss as 'political'. Trumps re-election could hinge on the female vote (it did largely in 2020) and this won't help that cause one little bit.
That would be his lawyer who pretended to have Covid to stall the trial for a week, yet was dumb enough to swan into a MAGA rally because she has designs on being the next Mrs Trump...? That would require him and Melania to be in the same building, which hasn't been the case for months
Did he just film himself claiming to have a military rank, despite never having served a day? That useless, lazy **** wouldn't last 10 minutes acting in Dad's Army, let alone joining a real one.
Given his other court cases, how can he offer collateral? Who would value his assets? We've all seen his deceptive business practices in action. He's told everyone he lies about their value. He'll probably offer up one of his kids or something.
How many major conflicts have we had since he turned 18 again? Start with the Gulf War, Afghanistan and Iraq, and I'm reasonably sure he just about qualified for the Falklands too
The wars in Yugoslavia were an option, too. He could've represented the country of his birth in various, less serious scuffles, as well.
They say Trump's grandad was called up by the pre German military for war but run away to the USA.When he returned home they kicked him out and he returned to the USA where he ran brothels apparently.Trump was called up but got his dad to tell them he had a bonespur so couldn't go. His dad wasn't too nice either apparently.
IIRC the Defunctland episode on the history of Coney Island does not paint Trump Sr in a particularly good light as he bought the Steeplechase Park amusement park on the promise of restoring the park to the glories it experienced in the 1920s, and the second the ink was dry on the contract demolished it as he always planned on building another apartment complex there like he did further down Brighton Beach...but never built it, so it was wasteland Wasteland that Coney Island were paying for, of course...
What is becoming ever clearer is that the Tories have two hopes: 1. To rig the GE (boundary changes etc) and turn catastrophic defeat into victory, or 2. Put the UK onto a War footing (increased threat levels, considering conscription etc) and postpone the GE. Both of which, based on current messaging and policies, they appear to be already underway
