It never takes long before it transpires that the current mob of Tories is responsible for a crisis they claim isn't their fault, does it?
Put me down for £10 that, by the end of September, Julia Halfwit-Brewer lauds the Taliban for not having ULEZ
A Proud Boy who led the US Capitol riot by smashing his way into the complex with a police shield before he filmed himself puffing a celebratory cigar has been sentenced to 10 years in prison: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-66689547 Another light sentence, in my opinion.
Isn't it amazing just how many schools currently crumbling to dust appear to be in Essex or Brixton? Not to be confused with how many of them seem to be named Corpus Christi
"And we wonder why the public is losing trust in the media." The problem here is that it's not media. Not in any meaningful sense, anyway. It's intentionally disguised to appear to be media.
Since posting tweet threads is a crapshoot at this point, because something something FREEZE PEACH for some but not unless you pay me for it, here's a summary of schools collapsing https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1697736926143422774.html Cameron dumped plans to fix the issue when he snuck into power in 2010 May was alerted to the issue in 2018, but ignored it De Pfeffel sent out letters to schools asking them to look into the issue Sunak was asked for an update this year, but couldn't be bothered But here's the question about RAAC that I really want to see an answer to: as it was used between the 1950s until 1996, is there a specific period where schools were built with the stuff and those schools all happen to be on the verge of collapse? A period between 1979-1990, perchance...?
Alright, who had "Unknowingly ingesting death cap mushrooms" on their Putin assassination bingo card?
I was on holiday in the then Soviet Union during the miners' strike. We watched the news on the TV in Moscow and it showed police viciously attacking picket lines. When we got home we asked friends whether the police violence had been protested and no-one had seen it.
It's similar to how the BBC reversed the order of footage of the Poll Tax riots, so it showed the police backing their horses into protesters after they got violent when in reality it was the other way around (hmm, just like Orgreave, then...) The worst thing is so many people believe the police version of events even years after, for example there's still people who think Jean Charles de Menezes jumped the barrier at Stockwell station as that's the narrative the police got out there PDQ - and that's even after the enquiry had footage of him going about his day getting on a tube, unaware that a copper was following him the entire way before tackling him to the ground and emptying his pistol into his head at point blank range Same goes for people believing the police line of them not offering aid to Ian Tomlinson as they were being pelted with bricks and bottles, even though the footage and numerous eyewitness accounts show that wasn't remotely true, but the police never seem to say their offers were on duty with a murder boner - oh, and guess who was director of the CPS and decided not to prosecute in that case...?
Somehow this is going to go away without anyone paying too much attention to what it says - and what it says on multiple levels
I'm not sure why Samuels is surprised, given that it's basically what she's marketed herself as. She's a regular for the Fail and GB News. She knows exactly what she's doing.
Given the grifters have moved on to crowing about how the Notting Hill carnival needs to be banned due to all the black people "violence", she's trying to distance herself from them - presumably because they're quoting similar articles
