Yes, I know this isn't Zuckwit's Twitter But ****ing hell is it funny to see Exlax whine that people he sacked en masse aren't allowed to find new jobs Especially when the legal letter was apparently written by a child
Recovering from a hernia op (don't recommend it! ) and bought a couple of audio books, including A Decade In Tory by Russ Jones. I'm loathe to use the word brilliant, because it's (like my op) very painful to read, but it is an amazing read. In fact it should be serialised on all media like some sort of Public Information Broadcast. What is even more concerning is that, despite the comprehensive catalogue of crimes, mistakes and shameful behaviour it covers - and there is a lot - I still found myself remembering even more examples that weren't mentioned.
This is a new low BBC News - Minister Robert Jenrick ordered painting over of child asylum unit murals https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-66132158
This story has been doing the rounds for a week or so, how mean or low do you have to be to deprive a child comfort or a feeling of security after what they have been through, it makes it harder to believe when you hear Jenrick housed a Ukrainian family recently
I read that the 'order' came down from the HO several weeks ago but staff at the centre resisted until this week. They then leaked the dirty deed... Carol Voorderman picking up on it has certainly given it some impetus! And never forget that as far as Tories are concerned there's a difference between Ukrainian refugees and those from, say Syria or Afghanistan. I'm sure I'll think of why that might be....
Who knew that all those years ago when I saw the careers adviser at school you can make a very very cushy living out of being a complete and utter arsehole as this Tory government are proving, obviously Eton and plenty of other public schools were in the know
