We have reached a point in the politics of this country where politicians need to be held accountable and taught that they are there to serve the people of this country not their old school chums or the local landlord, when a mother can be fined for stealing a can of powdered milk for her baby but Mone can swindle millions for unusable PPE during a pandemic, when doctors and nurses for the NHS are paid less than a barista in Costa and when the train operators are paid by the government to give dividends to shareholders while the rail network is an utter shambles, something is very wrong with the UK

 

Claiming the wage of an MP since he was thrown out of number 10 while swanning around America making speeches for a start, buying a country mansion for £ 3 million cash , follow the money and you will find the fraud
You can't pay a couple of grand into a bank today without questions asked

Should be a pretty easy case to prosecute.

(pretty sure if you are an MP you can claim the wage regardless of your address, not many claiming that wage live in No 10.)

 

The point was he was claiming the wage of an MP when he was not available to sit in the commons

 

Pretty sure that's very common practice for all MPs.
Maybe they should only get paid for days they attend for 6 hours or more? wouldn't leave them much time to do anything else though though.

 

Lots of MPs get on and do what they are elected for , but others spend their time feathering the nest and this needs to stop regardless what party they represent

 

Quite right sir, let's play this equally across the board and dig all the wasters out to start fresh.
