I think Prince Harry is the only person in the entire building who actually earned the military medals they're wearing

Onto more important things: the BBC are directly responsible for me not getting any nookie the other night Their current line for NHS strikes, which they've repeated enough that it's clearly not a slip of the tongue, is the "majority" have accepted the government's pay deal ...which is complete ****ing bollocks While the majority of unions have accepted the deal, those unions are for very specific roles, for example midwives and paramedics - but that is a fraction of the people who have been striking, as the actual majority are represented by the union Steve Barclay hasn't even met with - but has met with barristers to try and shut down their strikes So when LadyC heard this, on what happened to be her day off, she wasn't in the mood to have the integrity of the mattress rigorously tested
The UK is fast becoming a fully fledged Police State. The Draconian powers rushed through a loaded and supine Parliament were implemented to the intended letter yesterday. Not only were demonstrators arrested BEFORE starting their (discussed and agreed with Met Police) protest and held for 16 hours, but also arrested 3 accredited 'Night Stars' who help patrol Soho and hand out rape alarms to women to help keep them safe. Perhaps with their apparent proclivities, you can understand why Met Police officers might not want to make a rapists job harder! Their 'excuse' however, was something to behold...
The thing which really galls is the cascade of "What has happened to this country?" sentiment we've seen as if we've never seen the like before Yes we have. Many times - times such as Battle of Lewisham, 1977 Battle of Orgreave, 1984 Poll Tax riots, 1990 Criminal Justice Bill March, 1994 G20 protests, 2009 Tuition fees protest, 2010 Anti cuts protests, 2011 The fact the BBC misrepresented quite a few items on that list is worth mentioning, too...
I'm sure they will find something like selling off the NHS, robbing pensions or a nice line in child trafficking
Darren has been very good ,I met him at a union brief in Bristol and he came over as a genuine person with a hopefully a long future in politics Thompson's been very quite of late ,there are a few more I would like to see gone with him as the workplace is still toxic and the pay deal acceptance is still far from a done deal
Darren Jones has looked assured and all over his subject whenever I've seen him. Slightly surprised that his profile hasn't risen in the past year or so with a Labour Shadow Cabinet role. He's head and shoulders above some of the dross Starmer has surrounded himself with in the latest appointments. But maybe that's the answer: insecure leaders don't promote those that may usurp!
