Trussenomics doesn't appear to be going well, does it? Edit: They are also continuing with the lie that the 'deal' is only possible because of Brexit. It isn't - EU and UK received this access at the same time!
So the guy who walked in on Carrie Antoinette giving De Pfeffel a blowjob in the Foreign Office when De Pfeffel was Foreign Secretary and married to somebody who definitely wasn't Carrie gets sacked for groping somebody in a conference bar, and Scary Spice was involved somehow You see how nobody would believe this if it was a work of fiction...?
This is a long thread but very insightful into the current Trading status of the UK specifically in relation the the EU, but more generally to other countries.
...but we do have a trade deal to sell lamb to the US, who don't eat it...and chicken to *****lian KFC restaurants...of which there are precisely 11. Yaaaaay!
So we should give Kanye West a break over making antisemitic comments says * checks notes* ...the Jewish Chronicle?
Bloody hell John... https://metro.co.uk/2022/10/10/john...gular-show-17533680/?ito=socialmetrouktwitter He told Amol Rajan on Radio 4: ‘I was approached and I didn’t know who they were, I don’t know much about modern television because I’d pretty much given up on it – I mean English television – then I met one or two of the people concerned and I had a dinner with them and liked them every much. ‘People say it’s a right-wing channel, it’s a free speech channel.’ Cleese’s former tweets on GB News were brought back up on Monday amid the news, after he asked about ‘Russian interests’ with the broadcaster. In late August, he tweeted: ‘GB News is sometimes referred to, rather wittily, as ‘KGB News’ ‘To what extent is GB News influenced by Russian interests?’ Asked whether he’s received a satisfactory answer to his concern, he replied he’d spoken with Doyle about it and that, ‘I’m satisfied at the moment, but the whole point is, is it free speech or not, and after I start the show, we will find out.’
I know nothing about his personal situation tbh. I have read about some of his comments in the past though. The xenophobic stuff about modern England etc. So I'm not entirely surprised but I think he's going to find out he's been duped here and I expect it'll end acrimoniously or rather tragically for him personally when that happens.
Cleese has had a whole bunch of financial issues in the past fifteen years Firstly his third ex-wife took him to the cleaners when they divorced in 2008, with Cleese having to pay her £600k a year in alimony for seven years as part of the £12m settlement she got, and after that the Pythons had to pay £1.3m in back royalties to the producer of Monty Python and the Holy Grail plus £800k in legal fees when they tried diddling him with royalties from Spamalot That's why the Monty Python reunion shows happened, since all of them were in debt - as well as Cleese's one-man show dubbed the Alimony Tour
