It's called opportunism mate. I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say that I find your stupidity hilarious
Apparently less to 150 people watched the funeral on Giblet Baguette News, so technically between my Facebook, Twitter and this site I might actually have had more reach than them...
Seriously, let me ask you a question. If you were the editor of a news out let and a monarch of 70 years standing died on the same day some politician released a list of their donors which story would you make headline news, which do you think the majority of the public would give a **** about?
There was no mention of it on any of that evening's news broadcasts, when the story broke, and they certainly haven't made up the slack since - and, of course, it's "old news" now, so of course it will be ignored
That is the wrong question The question that needs asking is the one about if there is another example of a party leader's donors - any party leader - having their list of donors published at a time where it is guaranteed to be ignored by all the news donors Not to be confused with never publishing a list of donors, as is the case of the Tax-dodger's Alliance...
Technically, Prime Ministers don't get announced that often either - although we've been dragging that average down recently...
That's the whole point. A Labour memo infamously referred to 9/11 as a good day to bury bad news. This is just another example of it.
Off to GC to see what the Spam Loon has been posting, he really should read the words on some of his memes instead of just liking the pictures
I think it's more the fact that a government will take the opportunity to release information they know will be ignored or not receive the same scrutiny. It's their cynical actions which is being questioned here. It also highlights how little they think of the significant event itself (in this case the queen's death and in 2001 the 9/11 tragedy) that they should think to use it for their own personal benefit then come out pretending to be so sympathetic. Scum if you ask me mate.
