The Express doesn't, as they keep screeching for somebody to rescue Jonestown Nobody seems to have suggested that if it needs rescuing, maybe it's ****e
New idea for PM. Tried the one by making a buffoon PM, and for a long time many thought it was amusing, which is a bit ironic considering how serious the job is. Anyway, new idea is to appoint someone who hasn't really held any high office because there isn't enough dirt on her. It's also an indictment of our society where we concentrate on mistakes and flaws rather than emphasise competence. So lets appoint the one who hasn't had the opportunity to get things wrong. Plus she's nice to look at which shouldn't make a difference but probably does. She simply hasn't held one of the important ministries for any length of time, so doesn't have enough experience.
Wait, is that Michael Fabricant, living hairpiece and ludicrous Tory parody, being right about something? WTF?
Croydon Council's new Tory mayor has somehow found £20m in the budget for making a public space in front of the Fairfield Halls Now, what could possibly have happened in the last six months that would make Croydon Council suddenly have £20m on hand to spunk on pointless measures instead of tacking the myriad of issues such as the high street currently looking like something out of The Last Of Us considering all we've heard from the handful of Tory councillors for the last five years is how the Labour council bankrupted the borough which definitely doesn't have anything to do with its funding being 20% of what it was in 2010?
Wouldn't vote for any of them, but Tugendhat is the only one to have improved his position in this debate. For Truss and HMS Mordaunt it's been a complete car crash. Badenoch is an irrelevance
I think that's a fair appraisal. Borne out by the fact Moggy has been tweeting away on C4Leaderdebate trying to defend every one of Truss's car crash answers I do like Tugendhat but no way the Tory MPs are going to back him after such an honest display. I've got a feeling he knows this and just thought fck it, I'm just going to say what I think.. He hasn't done himself any harm in the long run tbf.
The biggest issue is you know the whips will be breaking out their blackmail file and using that to lean on Tugendhat to step down by Monday because they want it whittled down to Sunak, Truss and Mordaunt PDQ On the subject of Truss, it is mildly amusing to see all the effort she spent in the past six months trying to cultivate her image as a Thatcher-in-waiting, only for Mordaunt to come out of the woodwork and steal her thunder by doing the exact same thing that effectively rendered all of Truss' time and effort down to little more than some selfies taken in Moscow and a joyride in a tank
