The LA Times poll that everyone kept laughing at, got it spot on.

Anyway, let'sjust hope that his bark's worse than his bite, and he does a good job at home and abroad.

I for one am glad that this finally means the end of the syrian conflict is in sight.

California, Nevada and Massachusetts have endorsed the recreational use of marijuana

They’re going to need it, given that voters in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Wisconsin, Iowa, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Michigan, Montana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Hawaii, Alaska, Utah, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho and New Hampshire all appear to have been smoking crack

Apparently,Russia are rubbing their hands over the result. Now what's Putin upto now?

p.s., GW says he left his ballot form blank.I guess he didn't know where to put the x without dad's help.....

If I was an Eastern European I would be be very worried now. Putin's desire to restore the USSR will be easier now.

So the rednecks and hillbillies voted him in.

Similar to the Brexit vote here.

Reactions: Spur of the Moment
This is the sort of thing that grinds my gears. From Clinton's speech today,

"To all the little girls watching... never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world,"

Why would you tell that to a child ?

Firstly children arent powerful. They are children.

Secondly, why give a child a complex about not being powerful ? Why engender this complex and entitlement in children ?

Thirdly, if you have to tell little girls that theyre powerful, why not tell little boys that they are powerful ?

I hate this whole culture, of self entitlement, self absolvement and self importance, and I really hope Trump can do something to stamp it out, for the sake of everybody.

Trump's already backing away from his pledge to have Hillary imprisoned. That'll go down with about 37% of people who voted for him...

While there's a whole bunch of theories doing the rounds to explain Trump's victory, not least how "uneducated white males" are being blamed - even though Trump got a large chunk of votes from women and Latinos (but that's not important right now) - but here's one that came to me while: blame Michelle Obama. Remember what she said about how when the Republicans aim low, the Democrats should aim high? That's the issue right there, because taking the high road against someone like Trump clearly doesn't work, because they'll just keep needling because they know they can get away with it. Now imagine if Hillary slapped him down during one of his many, many interruptions during the first presidential debate, not only would that have thrown of Trump's strategy entirely, but it also wouldn't have made her look "weak" by having her come across like a sacrificial lamb off The Apprentice that gets shouted down and fired in the early weeks of the show.

I also can't help notice the selective amnesia that those who rubbish opinion polls are currently having: we keep hearing how wrong opinion polls were in regards to Britait and Trump, yet people still quote them as gospel in regards to saying the Tories have a commanding lead over Labour. You can't have it both ways: either they're always wrong or...oh what's the point, it's not like people trumpeting this guff know what reason is, let alone listen to it.

I similarly cannot help to notice there are many who do not seem to be aware
of what the polling organisations themselves say in public.

On general matters (such as 'polled guilt' - where the polled lie about their true
voting intentions) . Or in the case of the referendum, methodology
(no precedents on which to adapt or be confident their methods used for
local/general elections would hold up here) .

This IMHO is a far summary of the reality :

That's former Grand Wizard of the KKK David Duke, for anyone that doesn't recognise the name.

They obviously don't need it! . First Dubya, now this!...

Who's next? Mickey ****ing Mouse?...
Mickey ****ing Mouse shines by ****ing comparison. He...
isn't a confirmed racist (he's mostly black, after all)
didn't get millions from his dad
never declared bankruptcy once, let alone nine times
stayed faithful to his first wife
never boasted about groping women
never said he liked war
never mocked the physically challenged
isn't ****ing Goofy.

My informal analysis is that around 3% of Trump supporters were too ashamed to admit it to pollsters. It's the rest who are the ****ing wonder.
