I can understand some people feeling all warm and fuzzy about that.
I think asking questions about how the self governance of the country you love gets applied is perfectly sensible. Blind faith is just sleepwalking - you might be lucky, you might not. History tells us that good people can end up in bad situations because questions weren't asked, or those people who were asked didn't give clear or honest answers and were allowed to continue untested or unhindered.
Ask questions - don't be a sheep.
As the new government takes shape and gets to work, I feel a period of reflection and thought is called for.
I was encouraged by Mrs Mays words, but remember similar sentiments from Mrs Thatcher. That didn't work out well for everyone, just some of us. Governments should be judged by their actions, not their promises, and sometimes that takes time to unfold.

What she said yesterday was very laudable. She only needed to throw in a couple of references to the 'individual' and it could have been Tony Blair speaking 20 years ago. Set herself some big but quite fluffy targets there, judgement will come at election time.
I wonder how she has drawn the lines around responsibilities between Davies, Johnson and 'Dr' Fox. On paper their roles all bump into each other over Brexit terms. I'm guessing she and Hammond will set the direction, and they will make sure that Johnson will be out of the country most of the time, possibly on the ground in Syria/Iraq. Presumably he is now considerably poorer than this time yesterday, can't imagine a Secretary of State will think it appropriate to continue making up opinions for money for the Telegraph.
I think Nines mentioned it in an earlier post. Why have we not got Spitting Image on at the moment?

Funnily enough, I said the same of May only yesterday. She is now referred to as 'Ratched' in my house. Her husband reminds me of someone too. Perhaps a hybrid of Charles Hawtrey and Woody Allen.
