What she said yesterday was very laudable. She only needed to throw in a couple of references to the 'individual' and it could have been Tony Blair speaking 20 years ago. Set herself some big but quite fluffy targets there, judgement will come at election time.As the new government takes shape and gets to work, I feel a period of reflection and thought is called for.
I was encouraged by Mrs Mays words, but remember similar sentiments from Mrs Thatcher. That didn't work out well for everyone, just some of us. Governments should be judged by their actions, not their promises, and sometimes that takes time to unfold.
