Going back to the 'wasting taxpayers money' bit, There's this:

The legal companies pursuing this and many other 'claims' against the British Army are Leigh Day and PIL - supported by Jeremy Corbyn and Emily Thornberry, funded by taxpayers, and hell-bent on winning 'compensation' for all those who have the temerity to challenge our soldiers on the field of battle and come off second best.

As with the heinous case against Sgt Al Blackman, serving time for the 'murder' of an armed insurgent who was in all likelihood already dead (certainly beyond any medical hope) when Sgt Blackman shot him, there's no way any of these people should be prosecuted for basically doing the job we employ them to do.

I read about this today. It's an absolute ****ing disgrace!!

Just one hypotheical example; an ex-KGB agent finds himself running Russia, as his economy crumbles he moves from politically influencing Easter European countries and rolls his military into everywhere from Finland down to Southern Ukriane with no apparent intention of letting up.

Britain ready air force, Navy and ground forces.

Scenario One; Britain have no nuclear weapons. Russia say if you try and assist militarily, econmically or even with humanitarian aid we will Nuke a UK City each day until you stop. What do you do? Send in Jezza for a chat?

Scenario Two; same story but Britain have Nuclear weapons. So aggressor run risk of receiving same treatment back. Guess what it comes down to is we
have a stronger (certainly less weak) negotiating position, may not even get into that position in the first place and are ultimately safer

Classic response! Complete narcissism. No tolerance of the fact that other people in the world have a different view be that religious or their internal economic pressures which can lead to the extreme circumstance of the hypothetical example I posed.

But rather than answer that with a rational answer because you don't have one you respond with an irrational response.

My example was in a situation where Russia threaten Britain with a nuke a day unless we let them continue to invade Europe and you connect that with Zionism. Assume you don't even know what Zionism means and how misplaced and to some offensive that is and it is just a word you read from some socialist oik on the Guardian comments sections.

Sure you'll use this to dodge the response again about the scenarios posed in my previous question but you haven't got a proper answer to that anyway, so regarding your 1% reference, to quote Peep Show, "It's not all a conspiracy, it's only the miracle of consumer capitalism that means your not sitting in your own ****, dieing at 43 with rotten teeth"

Jesus, how ignorant can I be?

I am now getting the strong feeling we are talking ourselves into another recession. We take the stock markets too seriously, especially as the volatility is driven by greed, panic and computer algorithms, not intelligence. In my 15 years with my current company the share price has gone from near $100 right down to $30 and is now at $80 with most analysts expecting it to go higher. At no stage has the share price reflected the strength or otherwise of the company or its future. Cheered up a bit on hearing the founder of Aberdeen Asset management, a very successful company, explaining that they seek out companies that look solid, invest, and forget about it for 10 years, play the long game. That's what institutional investors in Germany do, sadly here and in the US (and China by the look of it) the quick win is king.
