Any comment on the multiple rapey Tory MPs and councillors?
Weird that you're concerned about BBC employees but not GBeebies presenters or Tory MPs.

I'm concerned about massively highly paid BBC employees that behave badly because the public pay their inflated salaries. I would have thought that was obvious.
Just seen that the government is looking at changing the law to force scum like Letby appear in court at their sentencing…..but what’s the point ?
Don’t get me wrong, I can see that families would like to see the person involved in killing their loved ones get their punishment in court, but the whole thing just seems completely unworkable and just being done to show they are the “party of law and order”.
How do they think they are going to force someone to appear and then keep quiet if they do…..and what incentive has the guilty party got to appear, when looking at an obvious life sentence.
Am I missing something?

An added reason is that important judgements are increasingly being televised. It looks odd for a judge to address an empty dock, even if the cameras won't focus on the dock (they should imo). A prisoner can be restrained in a chair, but I agree, gagging a noisy one may be problematic.
Im not saying it’s wrong for the guilty to appear….more of the impracticality of it all.

Just give the death penalty to the ****. That would save any hassle about getting the murdering scumbag into the dock.
The death penalty is obviously ****ing stupid. It’s been discussed a thousand times. Every time there’s a particularly media-worthy murder we get this hysterical bollocks.
You could put them in solitary for a spell if they play up, or take away privileges for 6 months like tv, computer games etc. We're talking about sane people here who are simply malignant. Otherwise they would have been found to be insane or with diminished responsibility
I do think a prisoner should be present to hear the ruling by the judge. And relatives of a deceased should have the small satisfaction of witnessing that.
Sometimes it’s better to stay quiet and have people think you’re a moronic right wing reactionary pearl-clutcher than open your mouth and confirm it.
What does capital punishment achieve? You inevitably kill some innocent people- can you really trust our police and justice service to be 100% correct all the time? You make martyrs of people. It’s proven not to be a deterrent. You make it someone’s job to put people down. It’s the doziest policy suggested by the doziest people about three times a year.
