Penny Mordaunt looking embarrassed at Sunak's PMQs performance today. She's about the only member of the Tory front bench that actually impresses me in any way, particularly in telling her party to stop wasting time on culture wars and to focus on the important issues. They won't of course because it's all they've got.

My wife an I Fostered for a few years & I can assure you the children in our care didn't leave with emotional scars & there are many more caring people doing the same

And a brilliant job you guys do Pete. Had a friend who did fostering for many years and hearing some of the stories of what these kids had gone through was heart breaking.
Total respect to you mate

Thank you Peter.... I apologise to you and all other caring Foster parents.

But these poor children are probably already emotional damaged, by the removal of their mother ( I hope they are young enough to avoid comments and taunting) and I hope that the authorities can find a kind foster home that will take all 3 together. Another big difficult.

I also hope that they don't up even temporarily in dome of the children's homes ( and as my daughter worked in one of those, I am aware of the problems that can be there too)

Ah, yes that would be a challenge. I once saw a tramp being moved on by police in Leicester Square underground. You could smell him from 20 yards, it was truly foul. The police could only get near him by holding gloved hands to their noses. A sad case.

Yeah it is sad and there are far too many out there. The majority on drink or drugs and left to their own devices.
Hounslow and Southall is full of them

Good at wearing a dress and holding a big stick though which basically qualifies you to be a front runner for next Tory leader.

There is a very distinct possibility that if things escalated that Ukraine could attack Belarus or Russia direct.

Didn’t hear the Putin thing…have you got any links ?

Ukraine would never attack Belarus. They have no reason to invade Russia, they just want the murdering raping ****s out of their country.

What you've shown is that occupations that are compatible with longer shifts, already have them. Try convincing a refuse collector to do a 12 hour shift in 30 degrees C or -5 degrees C in winter.

Exactly.
It's clear he's never done a hard day of physical work in his life.

I have but thank you Deidre.

If I did physical work regularly I’d rather do long days Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri than five short days. You’re welcome to work the five in this made-up scenario.

A free day to do what you want or reduce your childcare costs or learn a new skill or just lay in bed watching TV. Sounds decent in return for a bit more work four times and a reduced commute.

With respect that’s not Putin admitting publicly to blowing up the dam, though of course there is a strong possibility Russia was involved.
And as for your certainty that Ukraine would never attack Russia….we’ll have to disagree on that one. As, in my opinion, there is every possibility that it could happen, and it seems, has already started to happen. Not knocking Ukraine for it of course as if I was in the same position I would want to do exactly the same thing and bring the battle to the heart of the enemy. However it may eventually lead to an escalation, which is an undeniable fact

In an ideal world we’d all work the exact hours that worked for us and flex that when circumstances such as tax rates change. I’d talk Col through the economic theory gladly but it would be like trying to teach Kerry Katona Urdu.
