I’m not moaning about this one. It might even pay for the free school meals they’ve just taken away from the neediest kids in the country again on the sly.

School meals should always be free to kids. Maybe we need to stop illegals coming in and use that money?
Right on that note it lunch and out. Have a good summer all. Watford I will text you’re football.

Commenting on the UK joining the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), TUC General Secretary Paul Nowak said:

“Time and time again, ministers have turned a blind eye to egregious rights abuses in the pursuit of trade deals. This Pacific trade pact is just the latest example.

“Workplace exploitation is widespread in the countries involved in this agreement – from Vietnam and Brunei where independent unions are banned, to Malaysia where migrant workers are subject to forced labour.

“This deal also allows multinational corporations to sue the UK government in secret courts for introducing policies which threaten their profits – this could include an increase in the minimum wage or bringing energy companies back into public ownership.

Yes agree some of these countries need to sort out that side of things but every country/ trading block turns a blind eye when it suits them including your beloved EU.

I'm no fan of Brexit, but this is a poor argument against it Stroller....have you looked at the deal the EU have with Azerbaijan? In their desperation for non-Russian gas they're willing to overlook the human rights violations towards the Armenians in Azerbhajan, even though they have denounced them multiple times.

Trade treaties rarely take into account the human rights recorda of countries if there's profit to be made. Shocking as it is, I'd guess only a handful of countries are blacklisted due to this, and then countries like China will waltz in and pick up everything because they have no interest in human rights, just like they are doing in Afghanistan with the Taliban, saying it's an "internal matter".

That's fair comment, but I don't recall any Brexiters citing human rights as their reason for wanting Brexit - quite the opposite actually. It really is a pathetic sight to see these sad ****ers trumpeting a relatively tiny deal with countries thousands of miles away - the positive economic impact of which is predicted to be one fiftieth of the negative impact of Brexit - as a validation of Brexit.

There are no sadder ****ers than bitter remainers who can't move on.

This proper windfall tax (oil now $80 a barrel) has paid for:
Free tits for children
Replacement dinghies for people smugglers
High quality green jobs in China
A national day of thanksgiving for the NHS
Insulation for tower blocks
Replacement of roads with rainbows

NEW: A Labour Government would freeze council tax this year - paid for with a proper windfall tax on oil and gas giants. While the Tories think the cost of living crisis is all over, Labour is on the side of working people. https://bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-65116568…
