The fascinating part of all this is how the right wing media (which sadly now includes the BBC itself) has managed to turn the story away from what Lineker said - which was spot on - and towards whether he should be allowed to say it. Lineker has become the story, when we should be focussing on the government's hate-filled rhetoric.
