Apparently this example to us all is being lined up as the next Health Secretary by Truss.

She’s only 50. The new Anne Widdecombe, right down to the Catholicism.
But Diane Abbott.

Are you a fan of Abbott then?

Principled, experienced MP popular with her constituents who she actually acts in the best interests of. What’s not to like?

Understandably unpopular with shy and non-shy Tories and cops a disproportionate amount of abuse for a backbencher for some unknown reason.

Not at all, a daft ideologue. But it’s the standard deflection response to any point made about a Tory minister (‘oooh, what about Abbott etc). Diane Abbott has absolutely zero chance of getting in to the historically weak Labour shadow cabinet, let alone an actual cabinet.

Are you a fan of Therese Coffey for Health Secretary? We’ve had plenty of unhealthy looking people in that role over the years (Ken Clarke? Even Nye Bevan was a bit of a porker) but she seems spectacularly poorly placed to deliver messages about looking after yourself.

I'm not a fan of nearly all politicians right now.
I don't know anything about this woman and have never heard of her.

What I don't like is someone being "hated" just because they're a Tory/Labour member etc
Not saying that's what you were doing, but it's a recurring theme on here.

The Tories who are hated tend to be hated because they’re awful ****s in my experience.

Mad cow's disease. Did you listen to that guff about America being responsible for Russia attacking Ukraine because of the American troops on the Russian border? Look at the West's emollient attitude to Gorbachev's Russia, and compare with Putin who is trying to recreate the Soviet Union by force.

Diane Abbott exists only to wind up rabid Tories such as yourself and Col. She's an irrelevance, but the right-wing media just can't stop dragging her up - do you know she once drunk a mojito on a train??!!!! She's the only distraction they can come up with from the car crash of the current Tory Party.

Extinction Rebellion extremists have superglued around the Speakers Chair inside the commons chamber. Holding a banner saying ‘let the people decide’ in an elected House of Commons.
