Wish we had some good QPR news (signings) to distract us all.
Are you still one of the 160,000 electoral college?

In the interests of democracy I think you should set up a poll on here and pledge to vote for whoever the NOT606 Rs favour. As they are both ‘continuity candidates’ there’s not much in it, but it would be fun to see if anyone can be bothered to make an argument for either of them.

Even better, you can solicit and accept bribes, just to emphasise how accurate an reflection of the system this faux ballot is.

I promise not to vote and corrupt the purity of the process.

Seriously, now the Tory MPs have learnt how to get rid of leaders on a regular basis whoever wins is on very thin ice.

Sadly for your plans, I left the Tory Party on the day that Boris Johnson was elected leader.

Most likely, can't see the Tory hardcore wanting a brown person in charge!.

There’s been a few remarks made on this thread about the Tory Faithful being unlikely to elect a person of colour, Bob, and yet many opinion polls had Badenoch as hugely popular, if not the favourite, amongst those same voters.

Only repeating what I'm being told by Tory voters or what were Tory voters.

it may be a tad unfair to assume all Tory Party members are racists on the strength of a handful of racists with whom you’re acquainted, Bob. I’m sure there are racists across the whole political spectrum; doubt it’s the preserve of solely the Right.

Certainly not saying all Tories are racists as I don't know every single one. Don't really think my mates are racist either, honest in their thoughts and probably speak them more so than the average person would like to admit but hey ho. Doesn't matter either way to myself, competence and honesty are the 2 main ingredients, unfortunately they dissapeared a fair while ago!

They are going to vote in Truss.
Perhaps there is someone who can take us lower

That's what Dominic Cummings says is Johnson's thinking...

“Totally on-brand for ERG to back a truly useless Remainer who did nothing in govt except gabble with hacks cos she’s reassuringly mad behind the eyes,” Cummings tweeted.

Boris Johnson’s ex-adviser turned nemisis also claimed the PM quietly supported Truss’ campaign because he “knows she’s mad and thinks she’ll blow and he can make a comeback”.

Cummings said his former boss’s immediate priority was stopping Sunak. But he added: “He knows Truss is mad as a box of snakes and is thinking, ‘There’s a chance she blows, there’s another contest and I can return’.”

Cummings is every bit as bonkers himself, of course.

Says it all about Johnson and what he thinks of his followers.. give Starmer yet another school yard nickname and they’ll love him, whilst ignoring all the lies and corruption.

So Truss is running saying she will reduce taxes… looks at her voting history on tax rises… hmmm

A flip-flopping politician! Who’d have thunk it! Looks like the Conservative party will be trussed up and ready for humiliation by ‘no-policies’ Sticky-Starmer.
I wonder where the needs of the country and the people will disappear to while this series of Westminster Wallies plays out and this country falls into further decline. Disgraceful.

From what I gather, Bob was talking about people who voted Tory at the last election, not party members. They may well be typical of those Red Wall constituents who voted Tory to 'get Brexit done'.

I reckon he Tories have it in them to dump at least one more PM/leader before the next election. They are like a bunch of sharks in a feeding frenzy.
