There have always been many similarities between Johnson and Trump, but this refusal to accept that he's done for is particularly Trump-like. I'm beginning to think he might actually try to call a General Election.

If he campaigns to get Brexit really really done he’ll probably increase his majority.

In all seriousness he’s not that unpopular in the real world. The blue rinse brigade still love him.

I think he's become incredibly unpopular in the real world. The blue rinsers aren't in that world.

Yes, that's what you would get on GB News.

It's not representative, Beth.

I think that means he’s popular with some people who are moved to write in to GB News. Before the events of today 54% of Tory voters wanted him to go according to YouGov. Don’t think it will have gone down since then.

You ought to speak to a few of my relatives and a few of my neighbours Stroller.

It is shockingly more representative than you could imagine.

I was talking to someone a day ago who told me that Boris was the most upstanding politician in their lifetime, who was brought down only by the deliberate sleaze of others

I feel for you Beth. I don't know anyone, including Tory voters and Brexiteers, who is supporting him.

I really hope he does cling on until a General Election.

do as we say etc

Hypocrite: 'Just Stop Oil' Activist Racks up 50,000 Air Miles on Exotic Holidays

Ecomentalist shows herself to be the typical rich-kid playing at being a Marxist.

One of yesterday's Just Stop Oil protestors who vandalised John Constable’s priceless artwork The Hay Wain, has been revealed as an eco-hypocrite after it emerged she often flies on exotic holidays and has racked up tens of thousands of air miles in the process.

Student Hannah Hunt, 23, is the co-founder of Just Stop Oil whose social media pages are plastered with photos of her on exotic holidays including Bali, Australia and the Canary Islands. When not jaunting off to exotic places, paid for by mummy and daddy, the aspiring Psychologist spends her time gluing herself to roads, attempting to stop tankers from leaving oil depots and has most recently defaced John Constable’s The Hay Wain in London's national gallery.

She and fellow student and musician Eben Lazarus, 22, first plastered over Constable’s masterpiece with pictures portraying what they said would be the future, before gluing their hands to the frame as security stood on and watched. The pair then lectured the public on fossil fuels being a “death project” and warning of the “total collapse of society”, despite Ms. Hunt previously admitting she “impulse flew to the Canaries to escape chilly British weather”.

The former XR supporter even used the trips to bolster her environmental credentials, telling social media followers from Bali: “Can we look back in another 50 years and say we did everything to protect our pretty cool planet?”

If Ms. Hunt flew to every destination, she would have clocked up 49,404 air miles over five years and been responsible for the emissions of 13 tons of carbon dioxide. The European average – per person – is 8.4 tons in a whole year, according to the My Climate website.

The student co-founded Just Stop Oil in February, marching on No 10 to tell Boris Johnson to ‘intervene’ to prevent ‘the ultimate crime against our country, humanity and life on Earth’ then promptly went on another exotic holiday straight afterwards. This is the mindset of the eco-mentalist; the restriction of everyone else's lifestyle, never their own.

Unbelievably, this stupid little girl has become a hero among eco-zealot supporters of the group, which formed as a breakaway of Extinction Rebellion in 2021. Earlier this year she glued herself to the red carpet at the Bafta awards, and she has broken into an ExxonMobil oil refinery in Hampshire.

This is virtue signalling on a grand scale, whilst Hunt makes empty political gestures to the world, she continues to live a life of luxury and extravagance herself.

It is unknown if daddy's little girl will face any criminal charges for damaging the priceless masterpiece, but a long stint in prison wouldn't go amiss.

Please forgive my apparent ignorance but with Australia and the UK have the same Westminster system as the basis of government at the state, territory and federal level.

So, if so many of Boris's ministers have resigned, is he not now a minority government, hence, not able to govern?
Or, are those who have quit, now 'independents' thus holding the balance of power?
