Global Britain.

Boris has upset the EU leaders by comparing them to Russia on the Brexit issue, so they all have the hump. Macron, anyway, thinks he's Zelensky and has had to be persuaded to take off his T shirt and shave. Biden thinks he's Irish (though I hear his ancestry is English, from Sussex) and so feels he has to hate the UK (and has apparently upset the Irish by announcing he's Irish but not stupid).

They all need to grow up, ditch their egos and put in a good day's work during this crisis.

The man's a total embarrassment. His comments were crass and worthy of disdain.

The EU has reacted far better than the UK to this crisis.

I've seen all the awkward images of our twit of a PM standing isolated at this and bought into it.
But I'm seeing now that's not quite what happened.
I dislike this government intensely. But we can't just bend the news to suit our views if we complain it happens on the other side

5p off a litre of fuel ffs! Oooh takes us all the way back to er.....yesterdays price for fuel. What a total set of bellends

Most garages increasing prices by 7-10p at a time so that cut went nowhere. London prices around 185-189 for diesel but I managed a full tank at 168.9 in the Old Kent Road yesterday. Last week I'd have looked elsewhere at that price. £107 for a tank full is crazy...

Well, that went well.
Got even better. Such is his desperation for a photo opportunity a La Truss, he was rumbled borrowing a Sainsburys worker’s Kia to be photographed filling it up at a Sainsburys petrol station (I’m guessing his family are major shareholders) in a ‘man of the people’ moment. As if Sunak drives a Kia. In his favour he did pay for the gas. Well he tried to, it emerged he didn’t know how to use his cash card contactless, waving it in the direction of a barcode scanner.

Put that light out, there’s a war on.

Whilst I despise the Tory scumbag with all my heart, I don’t get what the news is here ? It’s like they (the media) think no politician pretends to be “like us” for a photo opportunity…….they all do..they always have done.

I think it’s his failure to carry it off that is funny. In a kind of bitter way. Rather than news.

Meanwhile Biden says he will respond ‘in kind’ if Russia uses chemical weapons.

Lot of time being spent in the news discussing what these ‘carefully chosen words’ imply. From my understanding of the English language ‘in kind’ is pretty clear. If you punch me, I’ll respond in kind ie punch you back. You react to what someone has done to you (positive as well as negative) by doing the same thing back. I’ve looked it up, that’s the definition. I read this as a promise to use chemical weapons should Putin do so. Which would be illegal under international law. Which leads me to believe that these words weren’t ‘carefully chosen’ at all, there is no way he will use chemical weapons. He probably won’t even respond much beyond more of the same stuff he is doing already - Obama and him allowed Assad, backed by Putin, to get away with using chemical weapons in Syria despite threatening action, which is why Putin won’t take this seriously.

Of course, it could also be said that Biden might not be fully in control of what he says.
