I know 2 ex Para's that contacted them yesterday pal and believe me they are anything but far right. You also seriously wouldn't want to meet them in a dark alley lolI wonder how many of those “volunteers” are far right…….the same as happened in Bosnia I expect
One of the best posts I've seen for a while that !Anyone else starting to hope that this might end faster than we'd hoped, and with a better outcome that we'd feared?
Looks like Putin is finding this a lot harder than he'd expected, both in Ukraine and at home. They are making much slower military progress in Ukraine than they'd expected, and they have already lost 5,000 men. (For context, England lost 182 (military and civilians) in Iraq between 2003 and 2011). The Ukrainian army have the power to destroy planes & tanks and are being given / promised more anti-tank and anti-air every day. The Ukrainians have dug in, in no small part because of the very brave leadership of their President, and show every sign of fighting a long insurgency battle even if they are overwhelmed in coming months. We've seen reports in the last few hours of mercenary troops now refusing to fight for Russia.
At home the Russian Govt are having to reassure their citizens that there will not be a run on the banks on Monday, and have already shipped a large excess of cash to ATMs. The rouble has already fallen against the dollar, with a sharper fall expected tomorrow. Nord 2 being cancelled is a major blow for Russia's leading industry. BP and other businesses are cancelling work with Russian counterparts. Russians are protesting in their 1000s on the streets, with celebrities coming out against the invasion en masse. Putin has even succeeded in achieving a long-standing aim of the USA / UK in getting Germany to increase its military spending. The about-turn in Germany's foreign policy in a matter of days - which for obvious historic reasons Germany has been incredibly cautious about - shows just how much this is back-firing for Putin.
The longer this goes on, the more convinced I am that this is the beginning of the end of Putin, not the beginning of a long-war.

Fair play to them mate….I know a lot went over to Bosnia to fight for the Croats when it kicked off there…..my mate Roy was one of them. Couldn’t believe when we saw him on the TV in a documentary about the foreigners over there.
He famously stated…” My mum thinks I’m over working in Euro Disney”
Then waved to the camera and said “Hello mum”.
The whole thing turned him batshit crazy and last I knew of him he was preaching Christian verse in Wandsworth town centre.
I reckon there will be many ex soldiers that would want to go and help ( from many countries).I know 2 ex Para's that contacted them yesterday pal and believe me they are anything but far right. You also seriously wouldn't want to meet them in a dark alley lol
Were the people you knew that went to Bosnia Nazis then?
Which side would they support in the Ukraine conflict, would you say?
****ing hell Strolls…I opened up about my dubious political past months ago….you and me even discussed it.
Now you’ve obviously forgotten all about it……I feel deflated.
Yes they were Nazis…..and yes they would definitely be fighting for Ukraine
Whether or not to support the Nazis.
Any man can make a stupid mistake , one that has consequences for others and himself. But it takes a real man to own up to those mistakes and turn themselves into a better person ! BravoNot really mate….when you’re young, impresionable and looking for somewhere to belong…..bad, evil people will use that as a way of manipulation. Unfortunately I was one of them (the first not the second).
Fortunately I saw the light…but not before I shamed myself.
