So many twats on social media and the like putting the Ukrainian flag on their pictures……they will be lighting a candle and sending “thoughts and prayers” next <doh>
 
I have just listened to an amazing girl in Ukraine talking so much sense. She is there in the middle of this war asking why the West isn’t kicking Russia out of SWIFT, stopping the fuel and freezing all banks that will stop Putin funding his war. Many countries need to take a look at themselves if they object to this.

Victoria ****ing Derbyshire on BBC breakfast, asking politically loaded questions on immigration to James Heappey, armed forces minister. She also hinted, as so many other idiots in the media have, that maybe Britain should be on the ground fighting in Ukraine.
He completely put her in her place.
Stupid cow. Really can't stand her.

I heard a presenter on SKY last night saying the same thing. They just need to make it more dramatic. Too many people glorifying this. Maybe they should take a trip to the Somme and see the countless graves?

No offence Col….but it’s just complete bollox though to be honest. Just people trying to show how ‘caring’ and concerned they are when they really couldn’t give two ****s.
Social media whores who will send “thoughts and prayers” ‘cos they think it makes them look good…..can’t stand the ****s.

They’re pretty cool as well. I’m in Copenhagen for my first post lockdown footie trip (meeting Danishqpr later to see if we can find a bar with the match on) having breakfast watching the rolling Danish news coverage. Their man in Kyiv, in full flak jacket and tin helmet, standing in the main square, while people stroll past in the background, chatting, having a smoke and walking their dogs. Some have guns slung over their shoulders. Respect.

Sounds cool that lol, have a good time. Apparently not, BA had trouble last week too and is working hard to fix the problems !

I agree generally that virtue signalling has become a pastime in some parts of our society and can be sickening in its egotism.

But over Ukraine, I do believe people are genuinely sympathetic, outraged, angry and concerned that we have a nuclear power, albeit a poor and unsuccessful one, behaving as if this is 1939.

I give it 1 more night of trying to take Kyiv, before they start really heavy shelling of tge City, don't think Putin's patience will last much longer. Really wish the West could help them defend the air space, as this would be critical. Anyone else see the picture of the Klitscko brothers in full rambo outfits in the capital ? Hard to imagine Khan like that if the same thing happened here. He comes across more like the sort of man that would've tried to sneak onto one of the lifeboats on the Titanic dressed as a woman !

Totally agree with this ! There is genuine shock and disgust from nearly everyone with half a brain

I just heard someone on sky say Ukraine wanted defence weapons in 2015 but the U.K. said no because… they didn’t want to upset the Russians. <doh> They need ground to air missiles as well as ammunition and medical supplies

Many people will be thinking that NATO should intervene to defend the Ukrainians. Derbyshire is right to put the question on their behalf and he is there to answer it.

Totally agree mate. It sends a message that the world is supporting the Ukraine in its darkest days.
