People don't want to become police officers.
It is not the profession it was once was I should think.. Stainsey.

Little respect, little support, dangerous, not particularly well paid, antisocial hours.

Why do you think Stainsey

I agree totally Beth. I may have used different words but you are far more polite in your words

Fab honest post. :emoticon-0148-yes:
I was listening to a former MP the other day who said that they went into politics to change things but once in found it difficult to do anything. It’s like a machine and many MPs get little done.
My old MP mate said you get a certain amount of money and everyone wants it and there is never enough to go around.

That’s absolute bollocks though. I’m not preaching communism but it’s obscene how many people can’t afford the basic costs of living here in one of the supposedly most developed countries in the world.

Yeah, but if you give people benefits they just spend it on drugs.

Mmm if you are going to pretend to be some man of the people at least act like it. You don’t give a toss about people when you are driving a fancy car, eating at restaurants, going away wearing designer clothes.

I do all those things. It’s not my responsibility to look after the poor. I pay a thick chunk of my wages in taxes which apparently pays for the services that at my stage of life I don’t utilise much but should be improving the lives of those who need it.

I’m not arguing people can’t be rich. I’m saying that if we’re going to pretend to be a low tax economy but actually we get taxed to **** then at least create a system where we don’t have 2m+ using foodbanks in the 21st century.

Also last week on the way to the away end you passed 2 people with buckets collecting for families and you walked straight past! you are worse than Charlotte Church.
