Don't give me that. you know what some are like. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Getting back to what we were discussing... Do you honestly think people will suddenly say 'Boris had a party so I will now vote in Captain Hindsight and ruin the country'? Aint gonna happen. Even with bobs sudden change of heart? :emoticon-0102-bigsm
People are rightly P'd with Boris but when it comes to that X in a box...
The general consensus around my area is that the hardcore Tories (my step father, bro in law and a dozen mates) just wont vote for them again. I presume they just wont vote full stop. But my vote will go with labour or the party with the best chance of ousting these lot. I live in a labour safe seat anyway.

Saying that, alot can happen from now to the next election. Im sure opposition parties would actually like Johnson to stay as he does their work for them, flip flopping from one manifesto promise to another u-turn. Its the current cost of living crisis that is effecting people in real terms, add in the national isurance hike aswell and it doesnt look pretty for the Tory party.

That's your area. Where I live (Tory safe seat) I have not heard anyone say they wont vote Tory. If Boris survives people will move on. They already are.
For me, I want to see the government get on with things... It's only Labour that want to keep this going because they want Boris gone. I said a while back that sooner or later they will have to come up with credible policies and stop wasting every PMQ's discussing a Partygate. They tried that the other day and fell flat. Starmer is a dud and will never be PM. You need something more than being a drab lawyer... a bit of charisma wouldn't go amiss and credible policy may help. This is the worse opposition since the last one. Infact, I cant think of a worse one at the moment.
As I said when push comes to shove I know where people will put the X

<laugh>...<doh>... And you reckon my earlier post made you spit your drink out!<laugh> Flip Flopping? <laugh>

Whats a credible policy again? Is it something you promise like...erm in a manifesto and then dont follow it through?
Give me dull over lies
Give me lack of charisma over lack of honesty any day of the week. The world is laughing at us!

Wokingham would vote for Ian Huntley if he wore a blue rosette.

In all seriousness though, im like you, i will vote for our local guy who happens to be labour. Before that it was a family friend who was lib dem.
You got to get your story straight Bob because you told us in the past you didn't vote?
but on a serious note...
My MP is not liked nationally. Remainers diskie him because he is an ERG member. That aside, he gets voted in because of low to no crime, good schools and decent place to live. He cares about the local people (well as much as any other MP) so why would I want to change him even if Boris was a twat? Should I vote in the weird green person who thinks all boys can identify themselves as girls and pull down a few statues because its this weeks in thing? Or the Labour block who doesnt know which party he wants to stand for?
I go with Redwood like the vast majority of people here... not because my Mrs is a family friend but because he is decent MP.

They don’t dislike him because he’s ERG. They like him because he, perhaps intentionally, comes across as a pretentious, dishonest, clueless ****.
