Thank heavens he isnt PM, the last thing we need is indecision from a leader. Imagine if he u-turned on policies or even broke manifesto pledges. Thank **** hes just the opposition leader
He won't be that for much longer. He will never be PM. Even after all the nightmares for the government, people wont vote for Captain Hindsight. Even Boris said today that Rayner was better at the despatch box. I did read the other day that a poll found more people wanting Jezza as leader... That says it all!

Although, i must admit, i quite enjoyed the first lockdown. Peaceful, back to basics and family time. But hey, we all have to earn a penny
I did agree with your comments on the 'expert thread' regarding being self employed. We cant keep locking down with every variant as it won't do the country any good.

I was serious, despite what was going on, i enjoyed the family time and little stress of rushing around at 100mph. Made me realise (long overdue) that theres more to life than work. It wouldnt be sustainable for me again though.

Fair play mate.
I listened to an interesting American the other night talking about how much the price of Lumber has gone up in the US (<yikes>) He said hopefully later this year the price will drop when wood yards get back to full capacity. Hopefully it will be the same here. Bloody price of CLS stud now is a joke! And that is only for my DIY job.

Timber prices, along with the majority of building products are rising on nearly a weekly basis. I quoted a 6 bedroom student property last year to book im for august this year. The quote has changed by just short of a grand in materials!

The American blamed the pandemic (which is the main cause) however we have a lot of building going on in this country so im not sure our prices will go down like tit will in the states.
Where I live in Berkshire nearly every field has been turned into housing estates.

Ah yes i remember, did he say something like he would support a circuit breaker if Johnson proposed one?

Starmer never called for an Omicron lockdown, but did say that he would support the government if they proposed a circuit-breaker. Labour has supported the government every time there's been a vote. What Starmer did call for was the 'Plan B' set of restrictions that Johnson subsequently introduced. Johnson lied about this at PMQs today.

You need to take those Starmer tinted specs off.
Read between the lines.

I didnt think he had called for one. Someone must be on the wind up.

Your are misinterpetataing what I said Bob (maybe I am being a tad unfair to Captain Hindsight and that he doesn't know what the other hand is saying)? I said that Labour were calling for a lockdown which they were.
That idiot Ashworth sent out the wrong signals...

Sadiq Khan wanted a Lockdown as well
The Mayor of London has said he thinks it is time for stricter coronavirus measures after surging Omicron cases led to the capital declaring a "major incident".
Sadiq Khan told Andrew Marr this morning (Sunday, December 19) that he felt rules should be tightened "sooner rather than later"

Starmer did what he always does and sits on the fence with 2 options. The only reason he never fully committed (he never does) is because that week, information came out that the new varient wasnt as bad.
I have said before bob you need to look at what's 'not' being said in politics.

As it happens Boris was correct in not locking down and the gamble paid off. Starmer got away with it because him and his team flip flopped so much even I confused at where they stand. Still im sure if another serious debate comes along he can always self-isolate again.

That has to be (and no offence intended) one of the most bizarre lines you have written.

Im still non the wiser as to whether Starmer and co called for a national lockdown, as you stated Ellers. Cant seem to find that anywhere! But if he didnt say it, then that means he did say it.......have i got the hang of it now?
