Why? Brexit is over, yet people who voted against it are still described, pejoratively, as 'Remainers'. As I said, you can't remain in something you've already left.

You won, get over it.

And people who voted for it are often derided with ‘this is what you voted for’ etc etc and called Brexiteers……therefore your original post was quite one sided.
Thought you were better than that and willing to take a more balanced view

I was responding to Goldie's post, which suggested that Jolyon Maugham's criticism of how this government behaves wouldn't be taken seriously by 52% of the population because (fox-bashing aside) he was a 'Remainer'. Pointing out the negative impacts of Brexit is entirely legitimate, I would say, as would pointing out the positives be, if there were any :emoticon-0100-smile. It's entirely different to contemptuously dismiss as irrelevant anyone who happened to have been on the wrong side of the vote.

That's how it seems to this 'loser' anyway. If you think that's one-sided, so be it.

There is no Remain camp. You can't remain in something you've already left.

It's only those that voted for Brexit that insist on continuing to define everybody by how they voted five years ago.

I don't see there being winners and losers, but there is definitely a Remain mentality among the main protagonists. I wouldn't follow any campaign led by Femi for example, just as, I imagine, you wouldn't follow one by Farage, even if his agenda was anti Tory.

As I explained to you not that long ago one of the positives is the rise of wages in certain sectors through the abolition of free movement of Labour…..you liked my post so thought you might tend to agree.
I’m afraid some of both sides are very blinkered and, I’m sorry to say, pretty derogatory to any that had different views or opinions to themselves.

I liked your post because I respected it, even though I didn't agree with it. That's even-handed for you.

Congratulations for the record breaking GCSE cohort….seriously, not been easy for these kids.

Worrying regional differences, especially in the North East. I wonder if the teachers there were simply less generous than those in private schools and the south? Or parents less pushy.

Truly sickening to watch mealy mouthed Biden acolytes trying to justify abandoning the people of Afghanistan to the psychopaths of the Taleban. Biden will forever have blood on his hands for this. Hope he sleeps at night.

Should we put our troops back goldie? (Or the americans?) Its a mess, but there comes a point when you have to leave countries to their own devices. Thats why historically Russia and China veto alot at the UN. Sad...but what is answer?

Remind me when the Brits withdrew…

Still, I’m sure you will be welcoming some of the 1 million plus refugees this is expected to generate to our shores, given that they are fleeing psychopaths. Shame that the Home Office is still telling Afghan asylum seekers that they can be sent back to Kabul.

An almighty **** up, just like every other foreign intervention into Afghanistan. Even Alexander the Great didn’t hang around long. And Biden and Boris aren’t in his class.

Biden is f22king idiot and we are stupid enough to follow him. They have f22ked up in Afghagistan and this will cost more British lives. Total cock up by that senile President.

Your mate Trump said they should have withdrawn sooner.
