Maybe what he said last year was very obviously implausible nonsense while what he’s saying now isn’t being said in isolation, but backed up by our non-response in the early stages of Covid and various articles and words at the time. It’s a pathetic cop-out to stick with the “you didn’t believe him then so you can’t believe him now” line and I suspect you know that really. It’s not like the Tories are going to suffer for it.
Go back and look at my comments on Cummings. I said he should have quit and that I didn't believe his excuse. I also said that Gove was being a tw2t when he said he often drives to test his eyes. I know that Dominic Cummings just wants to cause as much damage to the government because he is bitter about losing his job. He was hated by many Tory MP's who thought he was a burden after Brexit/election. They stupidly supported him after that castle business and now he has a platform to cause trouble. Sadly for him he will come unstuck and the Tories will never let him get away with this. It wouldn't surprise me if he has broken a confidentiality rule... if he has, they will make him pay for it.
People like you will thrive on the 'one liners' and believe what he says because it suits your agenda. He is playing the 'People v The establishment' card but that won't wash with the public who don't like him and don't believe him.

Cummings's statements on their own won't damage Boris greatly. But if he can corroborate his statements or if he sets up a trail of evidence that investigative journalists can follow, that might do.

The public know that Boris the ex-journo spouts off about stuff at times and shouldn't be taken literally. That's just the way he is. He can get away with hyperbole in a way other politicians can't.

What you're conceding, in your euphemistic way, is that Johnson is a compulsive liar.

Maybe, just maybe, some of what he’s saying is actually true which would be a much simpler explanation than this latest brainwave of yours.

Im a tad stuck on the fence over this one. Cummings we know is a lying twat, johnson and hancock we know are lying twats. What an absolute farce. In reality, even if herd immunity was policy, it changed and we didnt follow that route. Whether proven liars want to debate about who lied over that initial policy really doesnt matter. They are all proven liars. Thats what makes Great Britain great!!!

where did you come from? I thought you said a couple of weeks back that you had enough? Good to see you back bob, good timing. :emoticon-0100-smile

Some of it maybe true but he can't be a lair one minute and a saint the next.
Thats true but johnson manages it on a regular basis. They are all made for each other. Would anyone else have done differently or better? We will never know. Having a load of inexperienced, nodding head ministers certainly wouldnt have helped but thats what weve got.

Well I agree that the Tories had a lot of new and inexperienced MP's but even he said that 'Corbyn in a hung parliament wouldn't have been unthinkable', 'it would have been a complete disaster'. They seem tone doing things better now.

So DC has just said that the quote of 'let them die' was false and the meeting didn't even take place?

Just a quick trip and it was lovely cheers. Suprised how many people were there to be honest.
:emoticon-0148-yes:
Ive decided to leave my trip to France because of those test both ways. I will wait until next year and now and do a staycation. I might try Cornwall.

I think the point about the herd immunity policy is that even if it was never fully adopted, the fact that it was being considered contributed to the delay in locking down, and subsequent avoidable deaths.

It certainly makes for good pantomime. If cummings has hard evidence of these **** ups and incompetence then fair enough, otherwise its all pretty pointless. A liar calling another liar, a liar. What a merry go round.

He's an exaggerator. He'll say he'll lie down in front of bulldozers, be dead in a ditch etc. No one takes his expressions that seriously. He's a performer and says things with humour.

If Starmer said he was going to lie down in front of bulldozers...well, he never would because he never commits to anything.

Come on Goldie, it's not just exaggeration. The man's a liar.
