<yikes> blimey that's a bit WW2 isn't it. We have a similar thing here in Berkshire for when Watford talks cr2p. Every Monday at 10am the siren goes off.

Does everyone know what to do if this goes off for real, or is it just the sign to finally open the best bottle of wine you have been saving for a ‘special occasion’? And what could be more special than a nuclear attack or England winning an international football tournament?

Yep...very WW2 and freaked me out for the first few months I was here.

It is but one of many signs for the French to open a good bottle of wine. Other reasons include being thirsty, it being the end of a workday or it being the weekend.

Twitter is funny tonight regarding the U.K. sending ships to Jersey. People saying France and U.K. going to war. Every other post says ‘France has surrendered’ <laugh>
