Oi. Funny you should suggest that today though...just had the monthly test of the warning sirens in Paris. First Wednesday of every month at 12:00 the sirens ring out just in case anyone else comes to the same conclusion as you have!
Is that right Dave or are you being silly?

Does everyone know what to do if this goes off for real, or is it just the sign to finally open the best bottle of wine you have been saving for a ‘special occasion’? And what could be more special than a nuclear attack or England winning an international football tournament?

Yep...very WW2 and freaked me out for the first few months I was here.

It is but one of many signs for the French to open a good bottle of wine. Other reasons include being thirsty, it being the end of a workday or it being the weekend.
