Or maybe it has something to do with relations with the EU... I mean he did sign over 30 orders in the first week or so. I guess he forgot?
Trump! not that old chestnut. I think you will find that I said recently that 'Biden is more presidential than trump and that America has a safer pair of hands in charge'. I know a couple on here thought differently but I couldn't care, as it's not my country. I just thought he was vilified before he was even in office.
Now, instead of trying to heal the country they are going after Trump which is actually causing more problems. So much for the 'heal the country speech'?

If he was vilified then it was justified given he tried to lead a ****ing coup. His successor can’t just let that go. Healing the country doesn’t mean appeasing his inbred fascist support.

It's not only that. They have to damage his reputation as much as they can, particularly to moderate Republicans, to ensure he doesn't come back again in 4 years time. Either Trump himself or one of his sons, or son-in-law. They all carry the same DNA and will take America backwards again.

With all due respect Finglas, the fact that the Irish were not consulted on such a delicate issue should really tell you something? If you want to brush over this then fine, but don't think for one minute the EU Commission are actually bothered about Ireland when they want to do something.
As for the EU/US relations I think you need to read up a bit more on that as only yesterday I watched US news and they mentioned relations with the EU. The new deal with China is a concern according to the same program.
As for Biden, he won't give a toot about any country unless it means America will prosper. If you think some remark about Obama from Boris will stop deal with the UK then you seriously need to open your eyes. They US makes deals with countries that bomb the crap out of people. It all comes down to money and that the US keeps people working for the next elections.

There will, I'm sure be a trade deal with the US.
However, just like Obama, Biden is very much anti-British and will always support Ireland over us imo.

The fact that Ireland weren't consulted tells me one thing. Ursula Von Der Leyen is very inexperienced and she should not have done what she done. The fact that you and other Brexiteers threw a hissy fit at the time tells me everything about your EU bashing objectives. Are the EU commission bothered about Ireland, yes absolutely they are. They almost made a grave error but thankfully for all our sakes, the Irish Government put them right and I doubt anything like it will happen again. I hope Von Der Leyen has learnt from her serious mistake. If not and she repeats it, she will be removed. I have no doubt about that.

As regards US/EU relations, which channel did you watch? Fox News perhaps - Trump's mouthpiece channel? Thank god I'm not so easily influenced by news I seen yesterday or articles I read in right wing newspapers or the bloke I heard on the radio or my beat mate's cousin. The EU and US have always been big trading partners even under the 4 years of Trump despite his anti-EU rhetoric. Go read about that Ellers and stop filling us with your own anti-EU rubbish. Everything you see, hear or listen to you put an anti-EU slant on it.

To be fair Fingy, you go the other way by always putting a pro-EU slant on everything.

Col, I ignore 99% of what is written on this thread. I only ever get involved when people are talking about a subject they know nothing about - in this case, I got involved when Ellers started talking B.S. about Ireland.

I only comment when I really feel I have to.

I can go months on end without commenting on this thread. Others make comments 20+++ times every single day.

Mmm, ok.

There is a worldwide pandemic going on with hundreds of thousands of Americans dead. Whether a Volkswagon car costs an extra $500 more in the US or not is not one of Biden's priorities.

As soon as the pandemic is over, I am sure both sides will sit down and reverse some of the tariffs for their mutual benefit.
I'm sure the EU will want to.

What a nasty thing to say. As soon as I mention anything of late with you come out with a nasty comment. You can't keep posting that it's me all the time when you say things like this.

Interesting response. Take a look at presidents past and present...
Trump chats about girls with a mate and he is a predator anti-woman, yet Clinton groomed/Lied and had sex with a girl just old enough and that's okay? Biden has also had 7 allegations and an uncomfortable comment about wanting young girls to 'Dance in front of him one day'... that's okay.
Trump says about building a wall yet Obama/Bush built more.
Trump is accused of being a warmongre yet Obama killed more people with bombs and drones than any other President... That' okay
This was all before he became president.
As I said I'm not a fan, I just like impartiality and fairness when people discuss issues.

I’m impartially and fairly calling him a fascist who deserves to be hanged.
