I would imagine there are a few tough lads however they are not fighting a few cops but a 'Wall/Spam' mob and I think it will be a different ball game. Anyway not glorifying it, just saying what I see/know. Good that you don't need to get mixed up in all that cr2p while trying to work. Enjoy your day off.
TBH when we all think these things will explode they have a habit of going by with very little incident.

Imagine if protesters let pathetic babyish insults stop them. We certainly wouldn’t have half the liberties we have today. Rosa Parks, MLK, etc were mocked, their actions belittled.. but yeah bunch of Tarquins
To be fair Wills....it’s a bit silly to compare the ****s that rioted last week and tried to burn a flag on the Cenotaph...to Rosa Parks and Dr King.

See that’s where your views on the protests are off, you can only see the minority that did that and ignored the majority of protesters.
There is always an unruly element to pretty much all major protests. Saying that at the time Rosa Parks actions absolutely disgusted traditionalists, they were appalled at her ‘audacity’ the suffragettes were a bunch of unlawful women who didn’t know there place. In today’s society people can’t believe that Rosa Parks actions were necessary!! And how was society like that.
The same narratives have been happening forever, focus on the actions of a few to incite society against the entire movements. You only have to look on social media platforms and even on here people outraged by unlawful actions post after post after post... however when you point out the unlawful actions from the good ol boys certain people ignore it as though it doesn’t matter. Well you know I don’t mean you there as you voiced your repulsion at these actions, let’s just say not everyone did.

My question to you was are you really comparing the people taking part in the riots and violent protesters today....to the most amazing people like Rosa Parks and Dr King ?
If you do then fair enough, but I’d respectfully disagree......if not then have the bollox and say it.
The point Wills is making is that there is always a minority fringe who will be violent. Malcolm X was violent and, arguably, racist. If someone looking at that period chose to look only at Malcolm X, Nation of Islam, and those who turned to violence, but ignored the wider cause with the likes of Parks, MLK and others, you'd question the motives of that person right? So why do so many choose to focus only on the violent minority and ignore the issues which the peaceful majority are talking about?
So are you and Wills comparing the supposed injustices highlighted by the current BLM movement to the injustices suffered by the likes of Rosa Parks and Dr King ?
In my opinion, and you might disagree, there can be absolutely no comparison.......the struggles are so far apart.
I don’t think you could argue the Malcolm X WASN’T racist.....that’s a given, however most people with a level head would say differently of Dr King. Unless of course that person has a hidden agenda.
One good thing that has come out of this, is that I have had a really deep and emotional discussion with my daughter. I’ve implored her to talk to her Grandad and to try to write down the stories of the appalling racism that he had to endure when he arrived here from Trinidad In the 60’s as a young lad.

I was more making the point that you can agree with a cause even if that cause attracts violence that you disagree with, and to only focus on the violence would say something about one's attitudes.
The struggles are different, clearly, I agree, even if they revolve around a similar theme and have the same origin. Different stages of the same journey perhaps. That wasn't the point I was intending to major on - more the process point.

What I’m getting at from my original point, was that throughout history through all movements you’ve had people trying to discredit and undermine by detracting away from the reason to protest, be that focus on an unlawful minority, call them childish names or make claims that they want history re-written. I’m not addressing anything else other than that point and suggesting there is clear evidence of that happening through the current protests. Anything other than that is bollox and going off from a tangent from my original point.
