High hopes for Brazil to have us both looking competent in a month or so. Their ICUs are already virtually at capacity and Bolsonaro and the regional governors are sending out completely conflicting messages.

I shook hands with the governor of Minas Gerais, a few years ago at an event. He seemed like a good guy. He had a lot of goons, in sunglasses hovering about though.

But you didn't shake hands with him when medical advice advised that would be unwise and could cause the spread of a deadly virus I take it.

Every cloud.

It's a nice airport, v modern. I always fly through Lisbon, to avoid immigration in Sao Paulo.

The queues there are monumental, whereas at BH they are so pleased, just to see a rare UK visitor they have a little chat with you and that's it.

Your average Brazilians are amongst the most friendly people, you'll ever meet, it's such a sad affair, that it has such a bad reputation.

But that’s not how the house is. When he has hundreds of Tories shouting at him and questions out of his comfort zone it will be different. I have seen him before in the house and wasn’t impressed, although he is better than the last bloke just dull.

You make a good point Ellers. It shows how crap our system is when you have supposedly intelligent individuals, getting paid thousands of pounds to represent us, shout and scream across a room at each other and act like 5 year olds. Something needs to change.

Covid conman Mohammed Khan is facing a prison sentence after pleading guilty to a sophisticated fraud, at a hearing appearing by video link to Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday. His lawyer told Westminster Magistrates Court that Khan only carried out the scam against vulnerable people because his family lives in “abject poverty”. Yet Guido understands that Khan actually lives with his mother, a Labour councillor who receives a generous top up to her attendance allowances as a Cabinet Adviser to Camden council. She is also the chair of the subcommittee on crime and school exclusions…

A police investigation into Khan indicated that not only did he prey on vulnerable people himself during the pandemic, he also distributed fraudulent websites and templates to other fraudsters and co-conspirators. Khan was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing on June 12.

Labour politicians Kate Osamor, Diane Abbott, and now Councillor Samata Khatoon have all seen their sons convicted within the last 18 months. It’s becoming a recurring theme for Labour in North London…

Wasn’t it Thatcher who protected Peter Morrison as an MP ? If ever there was a real wrong ‘un then he definitely fits the bill.

I remember the son of Tory mp brian binley getting jailed aswell. We are only in control of our own actions.

Johnson said in parliament yesterday, when he disgracefully defended charging healthcare workers from overseas for using the NHS, that the amount raised by these charges was £900m. Turns out this is the amount raised by charging all migrant workers, not just those in healthcare. Just another lie from the porkmeister.

Still - good old, cuddly old, funny old Boris, eh?

The worst kind for me, taking advantage of the vulnerable during a health crisis. You get wrong 'uns from all sides, agreed. Labour do seem to be connected to quite a few at the moment.
