Of course, all countries have been right and wrong to varying extents. The point is we’ve got far more wrong than right and far more wrong than just about anywhere else all while being the most immodest government on the planet with the possible exception of Trump’s.
So what should we do Watford? You have all the answers tell me what the scientists cant or the government. Speak now. Tell us your plan to go forward rather than act like bob and bitch after the fact.
Lets start... when should schools go back and when can we go back to work? When should pubs open and what should we do re care homes and economy?

And bob... as you are also an expert on politics can you let us know the way forward with the economy including air travel (as I want to go on holiday) and what should we do re restrictions on transport and what funding or bailouts should we give to airports and airlines as my mate works at Gatwick?

Government guidance published on 25 February twice states that it is “very unlikely” people receiving care in care homes or the community will be infected with the new coronavirus. This advice was withdrawn on 13 March, and replaced with new guidance about what to do in the event of an outbreak at a care home or other supported living.
The initial guidance, for social, community and residential care employers, stated: “This guidance is intended for the current position in the UK where there is currently no transmission of Covid-19 in the community.
“It is therefore very unlikely that anyone receiving care in a care home or the community will become infected. This is the latest information and will be updated shortly.”

I don't for the life of me understand how anyone can be so dyed in the wool that they're unable to admit on an anonymous football forum that Boris was wrong on this one. Whether it was a 'lie' or simply 'misleading the house' can be debated if you really care that much, but it is simply a matter of fact that what Boris said was incorrect. The earth is round, the sea is full of saltwater, what Boris said was wrong - simple facts. Surely it's easier to admit that and move on to the more substantive issues of the day?
Worth repeating, but I'm glad to see the opposition actually doing a professional job now.

I agree Wills however you cannot condemn someone without having the full facts and an inquest. There will be one and if found guilty then you can say what you want but until then we should not accuse without proper proof? I said before that if they have made major mistakes, it will come out.

And I believe at the time they thought the advice was correct however things were changing daily. I seem to remember at the beginning there were many things that changed daily. It is a new disease.
As for the 'dyed in wool' comment I said on the other thread that mistakes were made but the important thing was for them to learn from them. As for the opposition we will have to wait and see.

Again, I’m not pretending to have all the answers so that’s another false narrative you’ve put into your head amongst your windmilling to defend the government. It would be rather worrying if I did and our supposed leading scientists and politicians didn’t.
It would help to give a more informed answer if they weren’t so opaque about their chosen science but it seems incredibly risky to send kids back to school now given our level of infection and opening up anything not absolutely necessary like pubs before September would be an economic rather than a health-led decision and we’ve demonstrated we’re happy to pursue policies we know to be hugely damaging economically so I find it rather hypocritical when people, predominantly right wingers who are capable of working from home or comfortable enough to get by without income for a while expect others to go back immediately into an unsafe environment in the name of saving the economy.
All of this and care homes too is with the context of chasing after a dreadful start brought about by indifference and dithering months ago. No hindsight required to know where we were heading and all with the massive geographical and time advantages we chose to piss away.
