No, the ultimate objective is to run the country effectively - which needs more than 3 word manifestoes and media support.

And clearly the electorate didn't think Labour could and judging by the refusal of Labour to accept they got it wrong it'll be a long time before they win another one. My view of Labour's manifesto, not withstanding other promises made after it was published, was that it was totally unaffordable without large tax increases both direct and stealth. A lot of companies who would have borne the brunt of the costs clearly agreed and without them on board it just wouldn't work. Still, we'll see what a 3 word manifesto produces in time and the electorate will then decide, with Labour staying hard-left there's a huge gap which Boris can move towards to and the centre ground usually dictates the winner...

I'm hoping it's not going to be a battle for the party between left and centre, but more between idealists/fundamentalists and pragmatism. On the hard left they have to realize that ideology without influence equals nothing at all - they also need to realize that you cannot separate the message from the messenger. People were waiting for hope and direction - if all you can do in that situation is put a long manifesto in their hands backed up with a 600 page costing study, then you will lose. Most people simply do not read manifestoes. We will see how the leadership battle develops - if we see a transition to Rebecca Long-Bailey then I will know that nothing has been learned. The one who ticks the most boxes with me is Lisa Nandy. But at the very least the new leader must search out contact to the media - many have said that the media hated Corbyn - but then Corbyn hated them, and made this clear from his first day in office.

Three months ago I publicly stated that Meghan’s obvious play was to convince Prince Harry to quit his role and to instead step into the A-list Hollywood life that she’s always wanted.
Meghan never wanted to be royal. She has always wanted fame.

Mission accomplished.

Does anyone really give a ****? Two people with a young family don’t want to live in a country where they’re constantly hounded by the right wing press because the woman dares to be mixed race. Lucky to have the option but I’d probably do the same.

Who gives a sh*t indeed, we pay millions for their home which they'll retain and a future protection bill massively increased because of their change of circumstances. No coincidence this happens not long after they team up with the Hollywood PR firm that represented her when she was an actress rather than the Royal advisers and they issued writs against newspapers. Perhaps if they hadn't decided to lecture us when being hypocrites things wouldn't have been so tough for them.

The sooner the Royals pare down the costs of their 'family' to just those in direct lineage the better, William & Kate seem to have the balance of duty and publicity spot-on...

Two people with a young family getting millions spent on the wedding and the upgrade of the house probably expecting millions more on protection etc and **** all to do with her being mixed race and more to do with the fact she's bored being a royal and not allowed to earn more on endorsements

Have you seen the sort of coverage she gets in The Mail?

I think you’ll find the Queen is given a budget and ALL royals are paid from that, the civil list no longer exists and as an added bonus old chap google just how much the Royal Family bring in, in revenue, how much income tax they pay, and their “home” as you call it is owned by the state as are all building used by the royals, the only building owned by the royal family is Balmoral I believe, unless of course you count Princess Anne’s private residence as well.
People have a very bad opinion and an even worse idea exactly what the royal family do, some people like that ****ing idiot republican asshole Comrade Jezzbollah wish them abolished, I don’t and many people I know don’t.
