I have served as a London firefighter for 24 years.
In that time I have never once seen any London firefighter give anything other than their best for EVERY member of the public, regardless of skin colour.
Doreen Lawrence’s comments are ****ing disgraceful.

The Nambies are an utter joke. Their supporters around my way seem to comprise comfortably well-off retired folk that have done little with their lives other than benefit from a largely Tory-delivered economy that their hypocritical consciences wouldn’t allow them to vote for. Their local councillors do **** all other than reduce speed limits where reductions aren’t necessary and take credit for the good works of parish councils and town trustees, all of which happens regardless.

The Namby prospective parliamentary candidates here is already publishing a talking head saying that the Nambies will “take back democracy” FFS and has sent out leaflets asking me how I voted at the 2016 referendum, the last GE and how I would vote should there be a second referendum and at the next GE. Christ, I so want this twat to knock on my door.

I find it impossible to hide my contempt for these people. At least proper Labour people stand up for blue collar workers’ rights and incomes, which only an insane person would deny is worthy.

The Nambies are just leeches. They leech the good works of others and leave the unpopular stuff (around here) to the Tories knowing full well they’ll get the bad press. Bunch of meddling geography teachers, form fillers and Marjories.

Totally bemused and shocked by what has been said. Grenfell was before my time but speaking to colleagues who were there, it still haunts them to this day.
I know of no one in the Emergency Services who treats anyone differently according to their race.......to us they are all people who need help.

See my point about liberals, Ellers. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s enjoyed an upper middle class upbringing, decent home, decent education, trouble free career, early retirement after treading on a few people along the way, comfortable pension, no mortgage, kids off his hands etc. Basically capitalising on conditions created largely by Maggie’s initiatives in the 80s, yet slagging the Tories off at every opportunity. ****ing hypocrite.

It’s odd, innit? One minute Remainers say it’s a parliamentary democracy so we should ignore the results of the 2016 referendum and let our far more knowledgeable MPs do their thang. The next minute they’re saying there should be another referendum for the people to decide.

I’d have been foolish enough to have supported May’s deal, however, but I’m glad it failed and we’ve got to this one, though.
