It’s stranger how Brexiteers will latch onto literally anything and disregard a thousand conflicting opinions once they’ve found one that confirms what they want to hear.
Great Brexit win though if things are no better or worse than before.
I’d say 1 opinion of the French fella who actually runs the port is worth more than a thousand conflicting opinions from Felicity and Edward on Twitter.

Probably not doomed. Unnecessarily putting ourselves into a period of being worse off than we would have been, making it as difficult and inhospitable as possible for migrants we desperately need to come here and emboldening people who were previously rightly embarrassed to air their views to be openly xenophobic. But not doomed.
Hope the street parties are worth it.

Interesting how Remoan journalists are beginning to backpeddle madly
- when we said "Doomed", what we actually meant was... inconvenienced...slightly...for a short period of time. When we said cliff edge, we meant a small cliff, a short drop where we could twist an ankle...possibly...on a worst case basis. Hope that's all clear.

Have you seen the M20 lately Staines? It’s in bits for 20-30 miles plus it’s concrete like the M25 section near us . Making it into a UK smart motorway! I am saying not sure that will be done before Oct
As you know traffic flows like clockwork through France
The bottleneck will always be us I’m afraid Brexit or No Brexit
Add in the knock on effect to the roads it looks to me to be tough
Still all of us will need to just get on with it but I have zero faith in the UK road infrastructure anyway that’s a calamity we may all agree on?
That in a nutshell for me

The big question will be the cost and the impact afterwards
I am not changing my tune re Brexit at all ... I want Brexiteers to pay for the damage caused in some way.
I simply do not know any Brexiteers personally and the simple message from my European friends is that the UK has gone mad and nobody can see any sign of planning afterwards

It's pointless arguing any more about how bad things will be after 31st October, because we'll know soon enough. Even the most ardent Brextards admit that we will be worse off by some measure, but can't say by how much or for how long. 'We'll get over it', they say, 'Be positive'. Well it's possible to get over cancer, but you wouldn't choose to get it.
